New Episode of 'Monogatari Series: Off Season & Monster Season' in Production

The official website of the Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season anime announced the production of a new episode on Thursday, revealing a key visual (pictured) and an announcement promo.

Produced by Shaft, Monogatari Series Off & Monster Season premiered in 14 episodes on Abema from July to October in 2024, later airing on television on Tokyo MX in September that year. Crunchyroll streamed the anime worldwide with subtitles in multiple languages.

The anime series adapts NisiOisiN's Monogatari Series: Off Season and Monogatari Series: Monster Season light novel. The Off season consists of four volumes: Orokamotnogatari, Wazamonogatari, Nademonogatari, and Musubimonogatari, published from October 2015 to January 2017.

The Monster Season consists of six volumes Shinobumonogatari, Yoimonogatari, Amarimonogatari, Ougimonogatari, and two-part Shinomonogatari published from July 2017 to August 2021.

NisiOisiN launched Monogatari Series: Family Season, sequel to Monster Season, with the Ikusamonogatari volume published in May 2023. The second volume Tsugimonogatari is currently in the works.

@GrumbleDango @Softhenic03 @Sinterklaass It's almost certainly multiple episodes. Since there aren't plurals in Japanese, technically it's unconfirmed, but the key visual definitely shows things from several different arcs.

I am excited. Although I think they will need a third and maybe even fourth part too given how much there still is to adapt. And then Musubimonogatari will probably be adapted separately afterward like they did with Hanamonogatari and Second Season.

The title should be changed to say episodes. Japanese doesn't pluralize words so the anouncement doesn't say anything about the amount of episodes, but the key art show stuff from several different arcs making it clear that it's more then one episode.
