The official website for the Isekai Nonbiri Nouka (Farming Life in Another World) television anime announced a second season on Sunday. It also revealed returning main staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video. The new season is scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Ryouichi Kuraya (Tsugumomo) returns to direct the new season, as well as handling the series composition and penning the script at Zero-G. Other returning main staff includes Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai) as character designer, as well as Yasuharu Takanashi (Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru) and Johannes Nilsson (Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi) as music composers.

Produced by Zero-G, the first season aired for 12 episodes in January 2023. HIDIVE streamed the anime with subtitles and an English dub.

The anime adapts Kinosuke Naitou's fantasy light novel, which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in December 2016. Kadokawa began releasing the novel under its Enterbrain label in October 2017, featuring illustrations by Yasumo (Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita). The 19th volume is scheduled to be released on August 29. The series has a cumulative 5.7 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

A manga adaptation drawn by Yasuyuki Tsurugi began serialization on ComicWalker in October 2017. Kadokawa published the 14th volume on March 7, with the 15th volume planned for a September 9 release.

One Peace Books licensed the manga in English in September 2020. The eleventh volume is scheduled to ship on November 25.

Synopsis
During the final years of his life, Hiraku Machio remained confined to a hospital bed with a terminal illness until he finally passed away. Taking pity on the unfair life he lived, a god decides to reincarnate Hiraku in another world where he can live as he pleases. Wanting to try farming in this new life, he is bestowed with an all-in-one "Almighty Farming Tool" that can transform into any useful implement he wishes. Hiraku is then transported to a forest seemingly far from civilization. Here, he plans to build and farm everything from scratch—gradually developing the lifeless area into a thriving new society. @BadDecisionFan Ehh yeah, about that: In the LNs he is already up to about 20 wives, with even more actively seeking that status, and 30 children. The anime is a rather bowdlerized version.

@reicchi-sensei It's already hornier than it needs to be. Further reductions in horniness can only improve the show.

They'll probably won't follow again the source and will make this too family friendly - only 1 wife. Kinda disappointing.

I had just finished watching the first season a few days ago and enjoyed it. Interestingly, the second season was already listed on myanimelist, and the news has only just come out.

Let's hope it will fix the abysmal pace of the source material. If that can be solved then the S2 will be very good like the previous season

Really liked first season, it was very comfy to watch. Thanks god, it comes back. It's one of these isekai shows that truly deserved season 2. Also the same studio, so no quality down. Look forward to watch it.
