'BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita' TV Anime Announced for 2026

The Mugendai Mewtype (YumeMita) 4th Live "Unlock the Future" concert announced a new television anime titled BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita on Sunday, revealing the staff, and a teaser visual (pictured above). The anime series is set to premiere in 2026.

The anime will focus on the story of Mugendai Mewtype (YumeMita), a virtual girls band within the BanG Dream! franchise. The band will release their first album "Progress Sign" on December 24.

Nichicaline, a new brand launched by SANZIGEN, is producing the anime. PHYZ is credited for music production.

The first television anime of the multimedia franchise, abbreviated as Bandori, was produced by Xebec and Issen in Winter 2017. A second season by SANZIGEN premiered in Winter 2019, followed by a third season in Winter 2020. The BanG Dream!: Poppin' Dream! movie, taking place after the third season, opened in Japan in January 2022.

The BanG Dream! Film Live and BanG Dream! Film Live 2nd Stage anime movies premiered in September 2019 and August 2021. The Episode of Roselia movies, Yakusoku and Song I Am., opened in theaters in April and June in 2021.

The BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! television anime premiered in Summer 2023, followed by the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica (Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast) sequel in Winter 2025. The next installments BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! / Ave Mujica and BanG Dream! Ave Mujica Movie are currently in production.

@CocoaGalaxy In the past, they've added 2 groups in each new update of their music franchises. But this one is more personal, so you should probably expect one new group after the previous one has finished its anime promotion. But one way or another, at the moment the second generation has three groups and holds auditions for the another one.

How many girls already? Assuming this isnt the last group then are they just going to have another group of girls every year or two?

So, now they're going to develop the next generation of the franchise through each group separately instead of common seasons? But at least this time we're likely to get a lot less edgy content than MyGO! and even more egregious in this Ave Mujica.
