'Gachiakuta' Reveals New Cast, Theme Songs, Promo for Second Cour

The official website of the Gachiakuta television anime revealed four additional cast, new theme songs, and a promotional video for the second cours on Tuesday. The second half will begin with episode 14 on October 12 at 11:30 p.m. on CBC and TBS' 28 affiliated stations on the Agaru Anime programming block, followed by AT-X and BS Nippon TV.

Guita: Maria Naganawa (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon)
Noerde: Mutsumi Tamura (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean)
Fu: Hiro Shimono (Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season)
Bundus: Akio Ootsuka (Vinland Saga)

Hololive VTuber Mori Calliope (Isekai Suicide Squad) is performing the second cours's opening theme "LET'S JUST CRASH" and rock band Karanoah is performing the ending theme "Ban." The opening theme is previewed in the promotional video below.

Fumihiko Suganuma (Sirius episode director) is helming the anime at Bones Film. Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man) is handling the series composition and Satoshi Ishino (A.I.C.O. Incarnation) is designing the characters. Taku Iwasaki (Bungou Stray Dogs) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Kei Urana's action fantasy manga, which began serialization in Weekly Shounen Magazine in February 2022. Kodansha published the 16th volume on September 17 and will release the 17th volume on November 17.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in March 2023. The seventh volume shipped on July 22, with the eighth volume planned for an October 21 release.

New themes for second cour means more CDs i have to pick up lol. Hopefully the cover looks cool since Gachiakuta's art is one of the main things I like about it.

@GTRaijin The same situation is happening between Yoko Taro and the creators of Stella Blade, which is why they even organized a collaboration when they discovered this.

@Retro8bit Honestly, same here. Calli probably mentioned this in one of her recent streams but since I haven't been able to watch any of her streams for years cuz of different timezones, so I didn't know it either.

I just found this out from the YT comments in the second cour PV.

Nicee, we got Calli performing the new OP. Turns out, both the mangaka and Calliope Mori are fans of each other and mangaka is also her channel's member.
