The official website of the Undead Unluck anime series announced a pair of additional cast for the Undead Unluck: Winter-hen special on Monday. The one-hour special adapting Yoshifumi Tozuka's action comedy manga is scheduled to premiere on December 25 on MBS and TBS.

Tella: Kensho Ono (Spy x Family)

Balance: Takehito Koyasu (Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd Season)

Seong-Hu Park (Jujutsu Kaisen) is directing the special at E&H Production and Gakuto Haijima (Enen no Shouboutai) is penning the script. Hideyuki Morioka (D.Gray-man) and Shunichi Ishimoto (Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai) are designing the characters. Kenichiro Suehiro (Isekai Ojisan) is composing the music.

The television anime produced by David Production aired in 24 episodes between Fall 2023 to Winter 2024. Hulu simulcast the anime in the U.S, while Disney+ streamed it worldwide outside Japan.

Tozuka began the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in January 2020 and ended it on January 27 this year. Shueisha published the 27th and the final volume on April 4.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in October 2020 and published the 21st volume on September 16. The 22nd volume is scheduled to go on sale on November 18.

Saying Koyasu is known for "JJK Season 2" feels incredibly dismissive of his long and successful career.

Surprised that despite the anime/manga being a flop (failing to be reach the top 20 of the best selling manga of October 2023, the month it started airing, and November 2023, meaning no manga sales boost from the anime), it still manages to get a special, and the special will probably be the final anime installment. Gachiakuta also seems to be a flop like Undead Unluck is too.
