Musician May'n Announces Marriage

Singer May'n announced her marriage to guitarist Takashi Nagasawa on her official website and social media accounts on Sunday.

"I, May'n, am pleased to announce that I have married guitarist Takashi Nagasawa. I am able to continue my activities thanks to the constant support of everyone. I will keep facing music with sincerity and devote myself to creating songs filled with love. I hope you will continue to watch over me warmly as I move forward, and I sincerely appreciate your continued support," May'n wrote in her message.

May'n (real name Mei Nakabayashi) began pursuing a music career at a young age and officially started her activities in 2003 after passing an audition held by talent agency Horipro International. She made her major debut in 2005 with the single Crazy Crazy Crazy under Universal Music. In 2008, she gained widespread recognition as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome in the television anime Macross F (Macross Frontier), which marked a major turning point in her career.

May'n is notable for her theme song performances in anime such as Macross F (Macross Frontier), Blood Lad, Btooom!, Accel World, Hidan no Aria (Aria the Scarlet Ammo), and Azur Lane (Azur Lane the Animation). She has performed extensively in Japan and overseas and celebrated the 20th anniversary of her major debut in 2025.

Nagasawa is an accomplished guitarist and arranger who has participated in recordings and live performances for artists such as Momoiro Clover Z, MindaRyn, angela, and Shoko Nakagawa. He also worked on anime productions as a theme song arranger, including Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken 3rd Season (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3), Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko (By the Grace of the Gods), and Garo: Vanishing Line. From 2015 to 2018, he was involved in May'n music production and live performances.
