'Yuusha no Kuzu' Announces Supporting Cast Pair [Update 1/23]

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rocket Shoukai and Nakashima723's Yuusha no Kuzu (Scum of the Brave) manga revealed a supporting pair of cast on Friday. The anime aired on January 11 at 12:55 a.m. on NTV, followed by AT-X.

Voice actors Kenjirou Tsuda (Toujima Tanzaburou wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai) and Shinichiro Miki (Kill la Kill) are joining the cast as Lord "Amber Thorn" and Kiyoto Takamiya, respectively.

Shinji Ushiro (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san 2nd Attack) is helming the anime at OLM, with Youichi Katou (Scarlet Nexus) handling the series composition and script. Rikou Murakami (Boku no Hero Academia the Movie 4: You're Next sub-character design) is designing the characters. Kenichiro Suehiro (Enen no Shouboutai) is composing the music.

Rocket Shoukai originally penned the main story as a web novel on the Kakuyomu website from February to March in 2016. Kadokawa published the novel under its Kadokawa Books imprint in December that year, featuring illustrations by Yuuya Kusaka (Majutsushi Orphen).

Nakashima723 originally self-published the manga on the web in June 2018 and released the first volume on the Kindle Indies Manga platform in November that year. Comic Border began serializing a manga adaptation in February 2022. LEED Publishing released the seventh volume on March 21, with the eighth volume scheduled to go on sale on December 18.

The first volume was released in English by comic translation engine Mantra Comics in March 2020. Manga Planet began publishing the chapters in English in May 2020.
