Comedy Maid Manga Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru To Be Animated

According to Young King Ours June issue, Ishiguro Masakazu's manga Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru was announced to get a TV anime adaptation. The 7th volume of the manga will be released on April 30th.

Hmm slice of life sounds nice but I'm not a fan of maid characters...gonna try this anyway.

The manga doesn't really rely on the maid thing as a gimmick though, it's more like they just happen to be dressed up in maid outfits.
From the first volume, it seems more slice of life with a bit of mystery, I don't know how much the later volumes work with the whole Arashiyama being a detective novel fan thing, but this isn't gonna be Kaichou-sama or He is my master..

Though maid-themes we're all so used up and close to death.. I do believe Shaft will modify the plot to make it better.

They always do. :)

Just like how they made a boring-dialogue-oriented Bakemonogatari novel into an awesome animation. Just wait.. and see.. :)

I think it will be a SHAFT anime too. I wouldn't mind it, they are doing a fine job with Arakawa Under the Bridge too, which is a seinen love comedy too.

Comedy maid is always good, though I must say the manga graphics don't look too appealing. Though it will probably change when being animated.
