Well to be honest, even if the plot doesn't seem particularly intriguing, the production quality is genuinely top-tier. I'd say it's the best looking series of Gundam I've seen alongside 0083.

It's a decent sci-fi, from what I remember. Kind of similar to The Matrix (and coming out a few years prior as well) but not as action-oriented.

Oh, I see. AS was kind of good, but I didn't care for the sloggish monster of the week aspect. Made the show tedious at times. Skimming Gatekeepers and seeing those creepy androids with detective novel-styled suits and hats coming from another world makes me feel like this is an anime version of Dark City, which came out about a year prior to the source material.

Ah, that "wholesome" (aka, boring) incest fetish thing. The only thing I can think to do is to turn it into a dark comedy. Yes, they have kids. They make bets on whether or not their kids will have deformities or be ostracized and laugh their asses off over it. The main storyline involves the parents trying to make their kids enter a similar brother-sister relationship and the two being embarrassed by seeing how they're the only ones in class like this. That might be funny.
