That's cool..hope you finish well.
Not to mention some cool interactions/bits of other characters moments didn't make it in just so it could end on this cliffhanger..and 2nd cour 2 years later..definitely reminds me how New Prince of Tennis [U-17 World Cup] was treated which also had 2 years gap between cours (2022 and 2024 but same production quality and removed bits and pieces and and there which made for speedrun attempt experience as one of these cours adaptated 130 chapters.
It was longtime coming I would say..especially how other JUMP adaptations also spreaded out their production/release time in terms of sequel/next epiodes (Undead Unluck,Yozakura Family,Spy x Family,Jigokuraku and JJK - where both of these coming back have their manga ended).
That one is tricky due how the out of nowhere additional cour was made but nothing ever since..would definitely switch to the manga after the original 2006 anime.

But ye..BONES was doing most of their animes like that for over a decade as you can see apart from Hero Academia for the most part (only 3 seasons were single-cour)...while MAPPA started doing it just recently even for the most selling JUMP manga they picked up to animate after what happened with S2..but considering the main story is almost done it makes sense to do this approach when Dr. Stone had this approach as well for the most part apart from S1 but that studio isn't even made for battle shounen/battle sequence on consistent basis..let them rest and do yearly Conan movies they were keeping up with for 30 years lol.
Had something else about One Piece to say as well but..in the end didn't because it involved the repetetive ''tiktok zombie'' generation stuff but the point is they are going to have something ragebait if the quality won't be as it became a standart for them since the 2nd half of Wano so ye..people are going to have expectations through the roof for Elbaf saga that is still ongoing in manga once it's animated and maily becase they age mentally like twice as much compared to our generation..at least mentally so for them in 5 years they age 10 years and then you can see the mental strain it puts them into when OPM S3 comes out after that waiting without realizing that they started working on it too late because every other people was booked for months ahead of time prior so..ye,even the other JC Staff projects couldn't/weren't allowed for them because they also had that under 10-8 months timeframe to work on 1-cour anime of their own they were assigned to lol but obviously OPM S3 turned out this way because there's no moment to make effort for if you even change demography of the title essencially..just keep it still being bloody..cartoon like but bloody lol so ye..it's basically gone from seinen to shounen hard even if some infant animetubers that started career in the past 5 years probably looked on it the same way from S1 (lol).

With OPM I can see why they did that..New Prince of Tennis TV season 10 years later comeback also had that approach in which not only the audience was like nerfed screentime wise or done cheaply but also some reused pre-rendered CGI exchanges on Tennis count were used few more times upon seeing it only once so it felt like the match was in loop for few mins lol..and mind you the 2nd cour came 2 years later and the 3rd cour is coming up again 2 years later yet the cheap/low quality was the same and is probably going to stay that way for the 3rd time despite the popularity it had as an anime for 10 years back then and also for stage plays/life action stuff that they were milking it off with when there wasn't sequel for 10 years (lol).

Ye..I mean BONES animes as you've seen been doing that for years and MAPPA seems to be leaning towards this as well with its highest selling JUMP manga they animated after what happened during S2 as Shingeki no Kyojin was already split up A LOT but that was manga under Kodansha (mag that is basically monthly shounen magazine but it's cousin and as a mag was dying in terms of breakout titles since the manga ended and even more so with Tomodachi Game year ago).

Had some bible written about it but it got cancelled so to sum it's mostly about how animation is done these days as the older style animation was something different and also when there are high-profile animators/animation industry people you want them to choose but also not chain them to project for 5 years let's say but not non-stop but with some breather room here and there hence why we have something like Bleach comeback 10 years later with TYBW that on average got 1-cour out after every 12 months pased as when 4th cour ends it's going be 4 years since 1st one started with TYBW saga..

Unless you go fully-into it or just don't because it's wast..either you start from the roots (70-90s) or the middle generation (00s) or the recent ones (10s-20s) when there's not so much to it for the past 10-11 years.But I guess cliche wise the ones from 00s aren't as vast but still lots of content to go through...Gundam SEED (8-cours),Gundam 00 (4-cours but ends with a movie) with SEED having movie not so long ago but that one is for once you get through all of the entries first).

Ye..especially things that didn't run for more than 5 years I guess..

Either way autumn season wasn't the best but I still found some cool non-sequels but only one of them stood above the rest since the rest is just slave to the meta kind of thing in a way when you see how the single cour conlcudes though I still type them out if you curious : Toujima Tanzaburou,Mofa Gongzhu de Xiao Fannao (2D Donghua),Egao no Taenai Shokuba desu (girls cast only sitcom basically - about making manga),Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai,Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka (had that month long break because Summer Pocket production drained it out when it was back to back cour anime) and the rest either had stronger 1st half or 2nd half of the cour or plagued with neutral ending point..though I'm really biased with WanDance for example becuase production choices aside or time restrains the pacing is still on point so that's all that matters regarding the journey with the cast as the manga is obviously better..even the songs they're supposed to dance to (some outside of Japan song choices by that I mean that anime can't affort).Basically just like this one included there's 10 other non-sequels that delivered for me but not enoguh to be on ''9'' immersion value point at any point of the anime promo since i rate either ''7'' which are low immersion values then ''8'' which are average immersion valeus and the ''9'' are the high and ''10'' are that I don't even care what the flaws it could have because they're deliberate one could say to to ride you through the relatable parts you have with it etc.

Obviously and the only way to counter is doing split cours to the shows that even has the biggest sales per year so we have Hero Academia S6 being single cour and then S8 (last) being single cour as well alongside standalone episode being released half year later.Not to mention the JJK/OP situation as well..fortunetaly as I mentioned before Weekly Shounen Magazine and battle shounens are dying there so back to back cours they need to maintain is only for GachiAkuta possibly which adaptated over 50% of available chapters after 23rd episode and Shangri-La Frontier which is actually kids show like Pokemon because the stuff dying is dying in Virtual game but the production effort that was put into the 4-cours split in half was as big as it was for Kusuriya-san let's say which was also 4-cours from start..just split into half as well to not burden the production too much and that is seinen demography for once and damn how rare it is that adult anime gets this treatment..which reminds me I still waiting for Uchuu Kyoudai comeback since the manga is still near finish line so I would love to see complete adaptation of it even if I would be 40 by the time I see the finish line (lol).
For me it's personally the DNA imprint that it has..we've spent so long with the original cast from 15 years prior to the Boruto..through dozens of filler episodes or whatever just to see them partically or heavily nerfed in Boruto..though for Gaara,Sasuke and Naruto it's justified as one has already died once and other two lost an arm so they do need other special powers to sink for to get out of the situations so they can't consistenly fight non-stop like during the last Ninja War I guess lol.Kakashi being ealy pensionist is probably the best running joke I always had in mind while Konohamaru didn't level as much compared to his skill ceiling during the end of Naruto.

That's why some of the early BONES Stuff is great to look into..from the 1st half of 00s let's say..and if we go for stuff that isn't bound to some big name studio then let's say Gonzo was also big during that era..even early 00s/millenail Sunrise stuff pre-Gintama or what isn't Gundam franchise is worth checking into regarding its animes.

Cool..you still can go for the spin-off of it that is set 5 years before the start of main series I guess which explores side of things that weren't really touched upon as much in main series overall..especially the morally gray characters and how Stain was operating at that time for example..
When I think about the fact how rare battle shounens to have back to back cours are then ye..even JJK has to be split cour and even BONES stuff animes were all split cours apart from MHA after Captain Earth or Zetsuen no Tempest anime which is basically 2012-2014 timeframe lol (the last back to back cour animes by then and one was anime original and other one was complete adaptation).
That's good idea..but you should consider picking up manga afterwards even if it got like only 18 chapters released in the past 6 years..xD Author always were facing his own demons if that metaphor helps hence why some people consider the last few dozens of chapters be of lesser quality to some.


With Wind Breaker I meant the cycling webtoon..the manga Wind Breaker doesn't really suit me so much from the split cour I've watched.
Looks cool..from the target demography side of things I guess.I remember when Annarasumanara was the highest rated Manhwa but then again it aged hard to suit todays MAL standarts I suppose just like most of the Shoujo manga in general there were highly rated in the 1st 5-7 years of MAL website.

ye..it did debut when Act I of Diamond no Ace was getting big so basically it was competing with Kodansha's counter part for its whole run while Diamond no Ace manga still lasted couple more years but just like Weekly Shounen Jump Weekly Shounen Magazine wasn't that red-hot with sports stuff either..even if Suruga Meteor that started at the beginning of 2025 might become something if it doesn't get axed in less that 100 chapters.But with Sports stuff there's YOUNG JUMP where they take care of them properly..most of them aren't even strictly weekly (be it these Sports series or all the series in YOUNG JUMP in general) that's why it was the only mag didn't have break this week unlike other big weekly shounen/seinen mags.

It's mostly the self realization that comes with different things you have in your life at this point regarding your standing on daily basis and how you already have fixed routine with the work you have on weekly basis for months/years or whatever and that just makes you different from these ''mental bubble'' people that can spend hours a week on these social network sites drama farming or just get engaged in it just because it's fun when you're paid for it and supported financially in buckets because TikTok zombie era can feel mentally healed only this way..

What I meant by that is that some episodes had to be animated solo because some episodes were taking too long even with the limited production schedule as doing things directed by someone to lead several people and giving okay to stuff also takes time so in the end some episodes in 2nd cour had to be solo animated and also directed so in the end what you went through did only one person without any input from others and any various meetings about this or that because there just wasn't time for that so only half of these 2nd cour episodes were being done by a group of people that were led by director of sort guy.
Well,it's mostly thanks to the overeaction and social network sites that it's so easily hated upon..basically curse of the era and the amount of seasonals needing to be put out on TV slots per year lol but that aside manga was great..for me it always was sitcom in heart..or at least it is regarding the moments where other character isn't the main character for several years like Garou but still HxH was also flexible in that regard and even the current arc where we get single volume worth of chapters every few years has been great in that regard even if that also turned out to be slow burner but welcomed one because these days it wouldn't work as fresh serialization in WSJ.Either way Tonari no Young Jump is great platform that is basically seinen demography counterpart of JUMP+ which is the shounen demography stuff but it wasn't until the recent months or this year that they allowed YOUNG JUMP stuff in as well due to how ''bad'' most of their serializations were in WSJ..not counting the strictly online serialization of JUMP+ with their flexible schedule but these titles also can end relatively soon regarding the not so high chapter count.

I mean I was already getting used to having recap episodes after every few episodes so it no longer was fully-lonrunning anime anymore anyway but Conan does its own ''hybrid'' thing where despite the amount of fillers and reruns it does per year it still managed to release 16 manga adapatated anime episodes while in 2024 it was only 12.Last time we had this much was in 2018 and that was 18 episodes lol.
BLEACH will take/is taking a while because everyone wants piece of their in-house staff for various other animes..even if only for half a episode or something in their project lol.

Ye..makes sense obviously though I wish BONES would step a bit with the amount of animated content because it feels like they want to be JC Staff of 2024 or MAPPA of 2023 now or just the landscape kinda allowed this to happen :S They have Marriagetoxin and Yomi no Tsugai for Spring 2026 (one of the confirmed to be 2-cour,be it split cour or not is the question),Vigilante 2nd cour next month and now recently did back to back cours for GachiAkuta and final cour for Hero Academia.Basically it feels like they had a lot on plate ever since the last Hero Academia Movie and that in the end makes these GachiAkuta animation threads which are justified because it had good animation cuts but not a single sakuga episode or just sniplets in it here and there across the whole 2-cours since the airing started only 12 months since the MHA movie production ended and then you have other TV series they were working on even if there are at least 3 separate teams going on working on stuff but not all of them have the same talent or work efficiency.

I was reading already few of these in early 10s like Kubera or Knight Run but Unbalance x2 was my 1st one I finished I believe? Was also plagued to lose another great series to follow that I did follow for 4 years (accoring to MAL history) but feels like longer honestly since there were always break between the arcs/sagas - Wind Breaker.

And it's karma because of when the downfall of WSJ in general started (the Act-Age incident with the storywritter of the manga that never speaked up on the passive bullying by the artist or whatever led to him do chasing the skirts back then of underages one night but the point is that it was few months after Haikyuu!! manga ended and ever since they never had sports series get estabilished in there (not that there are enough animators and work force to properly adapt sports series anyway or take charge of it lol).

It's like picking up farming simulator game in internet broswer over 10 yeasr ago and still playing it even today on weekends or whatever while you cook or some stuff lol.

Hmm..ye.It's always sad when some episode needs to be animated by solo veteran like it was during JJK S2 most famously..and to that the production time wasn't even that optimal to begin with with any other episoddes with regular animators at hand and how they have to follow the rules of director where to cut corners and where to use the neon filter and so on..OPM is huge to me as well but it's mainly due to how slowburn the manga was for me really..S1 content adaptated was more of gag saga and people took it for granted because they saw it as weekly action series what happened on screen rather than laidback narrative it had with some internal problems Saitama had underneath it before he discovered and bonded with more heroes throughout his journey that initially was just boredom once his limiter was broken..Berserk basically was going on circles,decided to animate the early parts once again and then call it a day which is good idea because who outside of Japan reads Young Animal magazine which is not only bi-weekly but Young Gangan as a bi-weekly seinen mag is more mainstream I would say even if the titles it has are less prote to have anime promo I feel like..

Cool..with One Piece going seasonal you might have time to tackle something new..

like in WSJ they don't have editors capable to handle/look after sports series unless the sport is a backdrop like Ao no Hako so there's WYJ for that when they have 6 serialized sports titles.
WSM is full of ecchi/harem/romcom stuff like 85% of them at this point if we don't count Ippo because everyone knows for the last 5 years that he's backseating the everyones matches from the recurring main cast like crazy..WYM is actually better on that front variety wise..even if some series don't get axed but get transfered to Comic Days which is the online serialization.
WSS is also quite good on it variety wise and stuff doesn't get axed early on usually..BCS (Big Comic Spirits) its seinen weekly counter part is also great variety wise but all the series there doesn't release every week but either in 2,3,4 or 5 weeks period and even if some series have back to back chapter it gets break right away..so these doesn't get so easily estabilished..especially outside of Japan so anime promo to these titles is uncommon for the amount of serialzed works they have (even the ones that aren't in MAL database).

the funny thing without being sarcastic is that only anime reaction channels/content creators react to these type of shows actually from those who got into animes in 20s or came back to it..but that might be just be imagining things.

It's probably the tools they have rights to and are entitled to use them even if the end product might be worse than what people who do fan animations with their own tools because independed guy always works best when he's not bound to the pack or working within some restricted rules which makes the episode process slower than people realize so when you can into account that some seasonals or always 1/5 of them takes only 5 months to make before the airing date you can see it in the end product..like usage of still frames,drawing quality etc. and the fact that each season has 50-60 new seasonals doesn't make things easier either (without counting the stuff that NETFLIX sponsors and plenty of them are released in batches).

Maybe Isekai/fantawsy/reincarnation themed anime that has that kind of thing more of a backdrop rather than forced means of progression could work in your case..like romance or the bond between male and female MC growing stronger throughout the whole cour/anime promo.

Ye..and they will stay in numbers while the traditional battle shounens from 4 big weekly shounen mags are already dying.(Sure WSJ can maybe go for alternatives like JUMP+ where I don't follow many titles or JUMP SQ where there's nothing newer that should have anime now apart from like few titles).Phantom Busters seems legit even if I didn't jump into it yet,Gokurakugai is cool but doesn't definite the meta with its DNA imprints just yet and Sensou Kyoushitsu is the oldest - 3 and half years but it's approaching its finish line apparently but it's the best stuff that did debut in JUMP SQ in 20s for sure.

I mean the moment ONE PACE was created for TikTik generation to catch up with ONE PIECE it was evident I guess..without really making it ironic actually,which is the sad thing but at the same time the pacing was plagued for ages due to it not relying on filler writters since fillers are more consumable in sitcom like shows or sitcom friendly cast and setting like Conan does..or even how Reborn! initially started as one and Gintama as well here and there.The lenght of manga is definitely shorter compared to how long Hero Academia in the end became in the end and it's going to be hard for the mag find another piece that lasts 10 years at least.Even WSM might have only Blue Lock and SLF overcome that in amount of chapters..while last one for the mag it was FT that did run for 11 years and the sequel is online serialized with bi-weekly schedule I believe.

Ye..fantasy isekai/reincarnation or occasional villianess theme is the mainstream but at the same time it gets harassed a lot..even if the score on some of these stars very decent or good it goes down in several episodes because the tempo is either all over the place or too slow instead so there's that but the problem is they make either half or two thirds of the seasonals overall I feel like (especially if I include these pseudo-idol stuff or music saves the world or any kind of music that is there just to be the portion of the hook).

Well,the problems are evident since Black Clover an Boruto ended..One Piece should have went seasonal before it started the FINAL saga ala Egghead Island because after the end of the Wano it was perfect time to change things up since the ED sequences were brought back and normal lenght sized OP sequences as well.Officially it's the animes for 10 years old that are now only longrunning or having at least 4-cours (PreCure,Princession Orchestra,AiPri) which are all girls casted shows for the same age demography more or less.

But ye most of the stuff is seasonal or takes years to get even 2nd cour or sequel when it comes to JUMP+/WSJ/Jump SQ or whatever Shueisha product that is bound to get a lot of content in anime form since they axe stuff A LOT in these mags actually..though people only know WSJ since products of JUMP SQ aren't really all in JUMP+ just yet..only the longrunning ones or the ones that have anime secured or already did have anime in the past.With WSM...that's even worse I would say,sure we have GachiAkuta anime promo now but Four Knights of the Apocalypse was canned out since the sequel was only standalone cour without conclusion and Sentai Daishikkaku 2nd cour year later had that reworked manga stuff that led to attempted speedrun feel.Newer action stuff from WSM isn't estabilished yet or didn't find its footing completely but we're getting couple of Magazine Pocket titles adaptated starting next year (the equivalent of JUMP+ where you're serialized online and not in phyiscal mag with more flexible schedule if someone needs so and you relly on pages/chapter reads rather than sales or ToC ranking) and that's where we have Dead Account (moved from physical mag early on but it's estabilished author so they believed in him and the manga is still ongoing) and then Kuroneko to Majo (another manga with estabilished mangaka that aleady has experience with his previous work being serialized in physical mag which was Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet).

Well,that one sure ended over 15 years ago by now.The only positive thing is that longrunning shounen formula is basically dead,for better or worse.But the truth is that we're getting like 220+ new seasonals per year (not including NETFLIX stuff that is released in batches or Donghuas in general).

Been going pretty good..seeing your avatar always reminds me why Reborn! was never continued but at this point if it were to happen it would need to be remake since I doubt half of the original cast can be used anymore (if not more).
