This is seriously a detailed and respectably answer. I like your view on this and cant say anything against it.

Ecchi Shows are bad and pathetic in my view BUT they can still be entertaining. But here, i failed to find anything. But i must say this one joke of mastrubating in the school (where they just went home after shopping and talked about the Porn Game they played and other people got confused by it being out of context killed me) this was honestly the best moment in the entire Show.

You said "Dress Up Darling is profound" but that's wrong, you think he's profound.

The ONLY good thing about the anime was actually the protagonists love for their hobby. But that's about it. It was all ruined by disastrous copy&paste dialogues, lack of creativity, unnecessary ecchi scenes (especially the hotel at the end wtf) and the empty protagonists. Mari was a typical "HOT OTAKU GIRL WHAT IS OVERALL EXCITED" and the protagonist is the "did that girl talk to me?" type. Fuck my heart stops and also Mari always gives me a boner".

I don't know what people are into, but I think this soft porn anime is what everyone was looking for.
