Estuvo okay, pudo haber estado peor.

Just finished watching To Be Hero X. It was good enough to make me wanna write again after a long while.

At the beginning my first thought and complaint was that I didn't like the structure they went with: the whole show feels like an introduction for each character. Lin Ling seems to be the protagonist, why should they put so much focus on all those other characters? I was a bit disappointed, and all of a sudden, they made one of the best final episodes I've ever seen, opening the door for a sequel. In general, despite that detail I just criticized, it's a pretty good show. My fav character is definitely Ghostblade. Lin Ling is also cool, it works perfectly well for an introduction. I also liked how they made Little Johnny the archetypical annoying guy but then gave sense to his behaviour and background — good comeback.

Another good point for me was that they managed to make the alliances confusing, I can't tell who's aligned with who.

Again, the ending is incredibly good, it's been a while since I liked an anime like this one. I'll look forward to the sequel.

Higashi no Eden

I can't recall the ending of this anime, pretty sure I watched it 10 years ago in 2014. Probably never finished it really. Nevertheless, this time it was an okay experience. It's not a masterpiece but the plot is creative enough. As a teenager maybe the show hits better since the ideas are a bit "complex". Romance is unjustified, Saki can be a bit annoying but it's not that of a big deal.

Well, 7/10. Nostalgia gives it more credit.

Shiki - Anime

One of the messiest pieces of media i've ever seen. Can't still believe there are many shikitards out there.

Probably wouldn't have been able to bear it if I didn't watch it with friends.

Blue Period - Anime

The perfect example of an anime to chill out. It's refreshing and not that boring despite the main theme, which is art. Don't have much to say about it. Maybe I could criticize how low impact many characters have, but as I see it, even though it's an character-focused anime, characters are not the most important thing but the way the MC starts learning about himself, life and art, all at the same time. We get a bit of exposition about art but it's not the main focus. There aren't any annoying characters, everything feels well-ballanced, even the cringy scenes.

For me is a solid 7, maybe an 8. But I rated it as a 9 since I consider it's a show worth to watch.

Blue Period - Manga

On the other hand, the manga is full of exposition about art, a lot of dialogue and instrospection in many chapters. The worst thing about this manga is that it isn't designed as a shonen manga. I'm not saying it SHOULD be like one but let me explain.

Once the MC gets accepted into University we get presented a lot of Teachers which seem intimidating, but we learn nothing about them, they're not bosses nor villains to defeat. As I said, the anime is focused on how the MC is discovering himself through art, but there's no emotion, I don't expect anything, there aren't "art battles" or real rivalries, there's nothing happening at the time. MC just keeps learning and that's it.

I believe it is a well praised manga since many artists can identify with its ideas about art, but it's not really that entertaining. I hope in the future something would change, especially since there are a lot of important characters that were never (and probably would never be) used.

+Anima - Manga

The story is pretty lame. It's never stated what's the purpose of the +Anima and there's not an actual goal throughout the whole manga, it's just about friendship I guess. I could've just rushed right through the end and I wouldn't have missed much.

Character design is fine but it was the standard at the time.

About Death - Manhwa

Concise. It does a lot with very little. Made me cry a couple of times, maybe 'cause I'm sensitive to that kind of topics. Would recommend. 9/10

Ao Ashi Manga - (305 -326)

Whit this "short" read after a couple of months I just noticed how heavy the slice of life genre is into this manga. And now that I've recently read Blue Lock I can see more of its flaws.

First of all, it's not quite exciting nor entertaining; and, in the current arc, using the Hana-Ashito ship to move the plot forward just makes things worse.

Second, the art is not great and hasn't improved at all.

Third, obviously there will be problems if the author doesn't plan a manga as this one. The author NEEDS football matches to develop the most important qualities of the characters and since they take too many weeks to finish each match... well, this would either get cancelled abruptly or it will last another 10 years, and I hope he comes with some cool stuff if he plans to invest almost 20 years developing a great message about football, hardwork or sportsmanship.

Anyway, the problem with this format is that rivals will be forgotten, he'll have to force relathionships between characters in order to justify certain scenarios (as he's doing rn), and probably a lot of more things I'd notice if I just had the time to re-read the whole thing.

Ironically, there is a good thing about it: the plot is so simple I don't have to really go back and read to really get the main points of the whole plot. I've already forgotten a lot of side characters's motivations and struggles and it's totally fine.

At the end, just as I said the last time I wrote about this manga, when it comes to football strategy and whatnot, it does it fine if I just ignore again the fact that Ashito just needed 1 year to become almost a pro, among other inconsistencies.

So, if you don't think much while you are reading it, the manga can be enjoyable. If you notice its flaws you'd probably accept it's mid. If you compare it with Blue Lock, you will probably see it boring af.

P.S. The worst thing about the manga is how the author is baiting so hard with the ships. It's not a Shojo neither a love polygon romance-type of manga. It's really annoying to bear this teenagers poorly builded pseudodrama.

It’s time to ditch the text file.
