Hello fellow MAL user, I'm Aronics. I've been watching anime since 2011 excluding stuffs from TV. I accept every friend request, feel free to talk ask or discuss with me anything, I'm not good at starting a conversation or keeping it going. I do write reviews but upon seeing how bad the new review system is, I decided to delete all of the reviews I wrote on this site for the time being and I'll post them on Blog Posts instead. I rate anime based on many different things but mainly just because I feel like this show deserves this score or that show deserves that score. No thought is put, really.
I don't believe in "objective" when it comes to art
TL;DR: MAL rating system
10 - Masterpiece
Way beyond greatness, the pinnacles of fictional stories. Nothing is perfect but these anime are the closest to ever reaching such acclaimed heights. The kind of anime that offer you once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Masterwork, Sensational, Monumental, Zenith, Magnum Opus,.. whatever the word you can think of, these anime deserve it all. Please, watch these anime.
Ex: Steins;Gate
9 - Exceptional
My favorites, anime that are filled with nothing but pure brilliance and only suffer trivial problems. These anime are usually the result of authors knowing their work extremely well, imbued with profound writings, masterful planning and extraordinary qualities.
Ex: Bocchi the Rock!, Bakemonogatari
8 - Outstanding
Anime with minimal flaws that can easily be overlooked. These are one of the top dogs considering how amazing and well-put they are. A cut above the rest, they are simply magnificent works of art. I love these anime.
Ex: Made in Abyss, Apothecary Diaries
7 - Good
Despite their really noticeable flaws, these anime are still impressive to a particular degree. Anime that understand and know how to make a story engaging fall in this category. I consider these anime superb to the majority. I like these anime.
Ex: Lycoris Recoil, Blue Period
6 - Alright
Decent, the good outweighed the bad, there are things I really like about these anime but due to major drawbacks, I wouldn't consider these anime "good". I carry positive feelings toward these anime most of the time.
Ex: Katekyou Hitman Reborn!, Fate/Apocrypha
5 - Mediocre
Anime that are neither bad nor good. These anime usually suffer identity crisis or have great ideas executed badly. They are not entirely hollow inside, it's just the lack of notable flavors and structure organization that hold them back significantly. I'm neutral about these anime.
Ex: Your Name, Demon Slayer
4 - Substandard
Anime that are on a lower level compare to the majority. There are something I like about these anime or there are some redeeming qualities that I found interesting, but they're just simply not enough to meet my standards. I dislike these anime.
Ex: To Your Eternity, Akame ga Kill!
3 - Bad
Anime that showed extreme weakness, not unwatchable by any mean but these anime are unpleasant to watch to a certain level. The bad outweighed the good, substantially. Authors with surface knowledge about writing fall in this section. I hate these anime.
Ex: Sword Art Online, Black Bullet
2 - Horrendous
Unwatchable, anime that I can't recommend to anyone. With so much issues, these anime, without any doubt, are some of the lowest works this medium has ever seen. I greatly despise these anime.
Ex: Takt Op. Destiny, Darling in the Franxx
1 - Agonizing
Simply pathetic, the lowest of the low, the worst of the worst, anime that I want to erase from my memory. Watching these anime brought pains instead of joys. Failed in every way possible, the writers simply don't know anything about visual mediums. I abominate these anime. DO NOT WATCH THEM.

Now that's very cool on your part. I don't watch K-Dramas so I didn't even notice about the apparent mixing of it all. A revisit of the film has to be on my mind. To better understand this film, watching Bong Joon-ho's other works is on my radar.
I feel like Parasite is one of those movies that I need to rewatch to enhance my understanding of it all. Lucky or not, I think me watching it now without all the buzz around the film helped me a lot. But, I certainly liked it. It's a film that delves into many things: Classism, the idea of success, and different motifs that represent the core themes of the film. It's a film that's delivered with superb acting all around, a simple yet impactful narrative, and some of the best and most shocking conclusions in the end. The ending act of the film demonstrated its ideas in a full-circle kind of way and I really liked that. Surprisingly to me, I thought the tone throughout the film was really well managed given its darker turn later on.
Yeah, the film was very enticing all the way through and I can now, at least to some extend, grasp its praise.
