I didn't really like your review on Nodame Cantabile okay I see it may be not your cup of tea but I think you might've judged the story and characters way too harshly

Art: the art isn't bad I think it's just not your taste and that's okay

The characters: I think you judged the Chinese stingy guy and Nodame way too harshly, first of all the Chinese guy he hasn't done anything bad nor is he that really relevant to the plot for him to be an annoyance. Nodame is far from bland nor is she a worthless slob yes she's messy and unorganized but she doesn't mooch off Chiachi in any way. Chiachi cooks and cleans for her because he likes her. Now I would've understood if you complained about a character like Stresemann instead because it's weird to normalize sexual harassment.

Also your last comment of "after all this is a josei manga, so the idea is that even a bland girl with no qualities to speak of, deserves a rich (they're always rich, duh!) and handsome prince. Easy to see why women would like it, it puzzles me to see men liking it as well." is misogynist. It's weird to assume all josei manga are the same it's pretty clear you haven't read many josei manga and the fact that Nodame Cantabile isn't a proper example because Nodame isn't even bland.

Anyway no hate to you personally but I'm just pointing out things I didn't like about your review.
