Watch Ojamajo Doremi
I started watching anime with Accel World in 2017 because a friend recommended it to me, but it took me a while until I decided to start watching anime regularly. It has been my main hobby since then.
Anything I've rated a 6 or higher is something I enjoyed overall. However, 8 and up is something I would rewatch.

Pointless introduction incoming...
Ever since I watched it, Clannad had always been top 1 anime without a doubt. At some point I "realized" that I would never be able to find something I'd like as much. Over time I eventually found other 10/10s like Ashita no Joe or Haruhi Suzumiya but I never considered them on the same level, as contradictory as it might seem. In fact, one year after watching those series I found others that I liked even more, but still "not as good as Clannad".
The few of you who are still reading up to this point might be wondering why I'm talking about Clannad, but I wanted to give you an idea of how much I like that series and what it means to me, because not only it's the one that cemented anime as my favorite form of entertainment but also shaped the way I think of a fictional work and the things I look forward to.
And after so many years, I came across with this mahou shoujo series about a girl who claims she's the world's unluckiest pretty girl...
I had a very strong feeling that I'd like it, not only part of the staff was also involved in Heartcatch Precure, most notably the character designer and the main scriptwriter, but also most people I follow in Anilist with a similar taste to mine gave it a very high score. However, I had no idea what I was getting into...
What I found was a series that completely appeals to me in every way. At first I didn't really see where it was going with those episodes focused on classmates or family members of the main cast, some of them were really funny and made me laugh a lot while others got a very touching ending, but that was about it... Or that's what I thought... Little by little, the anime crafts the most complete cast of characters who are perfectly connected with each other. It's crazy for me to think how a show aimed at a very young audience is capable of putting all the strings together to make this huge network of relationships of actually complex characters and gives us what to me is the best finale that anything will ever have. Not only the final episode but also the episodes that came before are the most emotional experience I've had, tied with (or maybe even surpassing) the series that most people know me for... Clannad.
It's been months now since I finished this series and the more I think about it, the more I realize that I like Ojamajo Doremi so much that is has really become my new #1. It's an anime that has all the elements I want in a work, from the hilarious and exaggerated comedy, the iconic music, the best main cast ever (seriously, I'm tempted to put like at least 6 characters from this series in my favs), and... the world's happiest pretty girl.
TL;DR: Watch Ojamajo Doremi!

Other than that, which is an obvious pick foor me, I'd say ep 4, it''s so cinematic and immersive. I loved Onpu already, but that episode did wonders to her character and cemented her as my favourite right after Doremi.
Yeah it's been a few months myself, noticed you dipped as well for a while until Doremi brought you back lol. It's been a rather weak year for me in terms of anime but Aim for the Ace was definitely the highlight for me, and the series I just watched, Figure 17, I think you could really end up enjoying. It's very much an Iyashikei at heart with a strong child cast, though it takes a few episodes to get into I think, fantastic art direction as well.
Sadly, I haven't really watched anything worth of notice lately, and I am not particularly in the mood for anything at the moment other than Watching Dr. House. I have Anne of the Green Gables, Patlabor TV series, Paranoia Agent and Haibane Renmei on my radar for the next year, but other than that, my plans for anime consumption aren't looking too bright.
On the other hand, I can say that I have been reading quite a lot of comics and manga lately, my layout is themed after Absolute Batman: basically a reinterpretation of the mythos with radical changes, it's part of the Absolute universe which also revolutionizes other DC characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern. I REALLY recommend you read it, it's ongoing and monthly, but it's still such a great thing to experience, the art is out of this world and the story is just genuinely crazy.
As for the manga, I'm actually picking up stuff I started/planned to start years ago and finishing it. I recently completed Dragon Ball (started in august 2023), JoJo pt 5 (started september 2024), Girls' Last Tour (planned to read it september 2023) and now I am reading Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, wich I started in february 2023.
I'm happy that I am back at being more of a reader, I struggled with that in the last couple years, hopefully, I can keep up with this and read some new titles like Aoashi and Kingdom which I have been hyped about starting for a long time now.
Glad to hear things are well, even if you don't have much time to watch anime and play games either RIP, playing any good games recently?
I did end up watching Ace wo Nerae as of recently and it's a bit hard to say whether you'd enjoy it or not, but it has some similarities with Ashita no Joe being a 70-80s sports series directed by Dezaki, with some bleakness spread in of course, really loved it tbh. You find any good media recently?
