I'm fairly new to anime culture, being in my late 40s and just started reading and watching in earnest this year. Actually I think it was Netflix who brought me here, apart from the odd Studio Ghibli movie I think
Pluto was the first series I watched. Then this year Netflix recommended
Sousou no Frieren and
The Apothecary Diaries to me and I was hooked.
I think my interests are more on the fantasy side, but I also enjoy characters which build a deep relationship, hence I even enjoy even middle school romances like
Tsuki ga Kirei if they're well written. When characters really care for each other it's really interesting to watch their love language, especially when it involves preparing food for each other.
Speaking of food, that's what's great about
Dungeon Meshi,
Zatsu Tabi or even
Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! for me as I enjoy eating new dishes very much and it's fun watching the characters enjoying it as well.
I'm looking forward to have a look into new worlds at my fingertip.
