They've released a few decent products since then. Koe no Katachi in particular was excellent. But overall, I don't think they will be returning to their prime from 2006-2012. A good studio - one of the more exciting ones still - but not quite the powerhouse they were before.

Thank you for reading my review. Yeah, you're correct about the prefecture part. Age of consent is unfortunately still 13 in Japan, federally, so I needed to attack that part regardless of the prefecture laws which is more accurate. As for norm of age of consent...I'm just going to keep that part regardless because most countries would charge Yoshida as a criminal because he is under Japan law, kidnapping a minor, regardless of whether the minor consents or not to staying in Yoshida's home. I wasn't referring to just the romance but some people might have taken it that way. Your points are correct and I agree with them. There's just a lot of awful misinformation and low standards on MAL, so although the review is a bit broad, I believe the messaging is clear.

Anyways, I'm just glad there's another normal person on the site.
