I sure hope they do, and I’ll be very grateful for the gap in time between adaptations frankly - instead of just shitting out adaptations when you realize the series prints money and can adapt basically anything as briefly as possible *looking at you monogatari*
I’m so glad there’s a Lunge fan out there too! He has a really interesting contradiction that I love - he gives off the impression of being, not emotionless, but logical, but as seen as the series goes on - this demeanor he has is almost entirely based around his own biases and is extremely biased, and flawed, and it’s something he has to realize and deal with as Monster goes on. Honestly, it’s a series full of interesting characters, it’s a shame the anime isn’t as popular as other series - probably because it doesn’t have people throwing fireballs or some shit. =.=
It sounds like a nightmare to animate as well. All those horses moving. All the censoring that would have to be done. Part 7 is so out of left field in terms of Jojo’s regular aesthetic that it’s somewhat unnerving thinking about all the things they may have to change and the compromises that could be required.
I’m glad to hear! If you can get past that hump, you may even be able to survive anime’s equivalent of Atlas Shrugged in terms of length and slow dialogue - Legend of the Galactic Heroes. >.> lmao. But that is for a WAY other time. Who’s your faovorite character in Monster so far?
Hopefully, we're actually just one more step away. o-o I never thought they'd adapt Stone Ocean, I think it's one of the lowest selling Jojo parts next to Part 7 lol. Are you enjoying Monster? It's quite a slow burn but worth it OwO
I see, Monster is one of my favorites and I like HunterxHunter just as much as Gintama.
Personally, if you don't like psychological disorder themes with supernatural things like Evangelion, Monogatari is not for you.
In the light novel the text is more excessive and the dialogue is much more difficult to understand (it has a lot of puns and things that lose meaning when translated from their original language) so watching the anime first and reading it later is a better idea, it's the best novel adaptation I've seen so far.
In fact, the dialogue and the characters is what makes it an interesting and unusual anime, but if you don't like it that's fine, I respect your opinions.
It is based on some light novels by Nisio Isin that is written from 2006 to the present, the story does not develop chronologically so you have to keep watching to understand everything and put the puzzle together.
