I rate anime by MAL's sistem, and for most of them you can subtract 2 or add 1 and get the actual objective rating because they a biased. And ratings are prone to change.
Now those two shows I didn't enjoy at all lol I watched them a long time ago and have no plans on ever revisiting them. In those two particular cases none of my previous examples given functions for why I finished it, besides doing it for completion sake. But back then, when I first watch it I wasn't really a part of the anime community to the extent I am now. I simply watched them at random and didn't like them. Didn't think much of it. In fact, I think it bothers me more when someone ask "why watch it if you don't like it", since it implies I won't like it without seeing it. How could I know if I never bothered to give it a chance. I think there's just a give and take relationship that all fans of anime have to conform to. If you're committed to the medium you're bound to run into some shit titles. Like you just said:
"you kinda need to see bad so you could know what is good and what makes it good"
Thanks for asking though, I'm glad you didn't just write me off without inquiring why I do what I do.
Because I'm lazy I'll just quote my bio:
"Just because I rate something low doesn't necessarily mean I "hate" it. Keep in mind my scores aren't indicative of whether I fully enjoyed something or not, but rather I take into account all aspects of the show and enjoyment is just another segment of the bigger picture."
Also keep in mind that I get enjoyment from dissecting and analyzing certain works as well. Sometimes something being bad makes for an interesting analytical examination as to why it's bad. Not to mention it could be a "so bad it's good" title like Kabaneri from this season.
Even with all of that, I also don't like dropping things unless I absolutely can't stand anything about it, as evidence from my small drop number. There's always a morbid curiosity to see it through. So if I actually drop something, you know it's possibly one of the worst anime titles out there when even I won't finish it.
yeah, I feel you. I used to never read manga, but I've been trying to change that, haha. Personally I enjoyed the Deadman Wonderland anime quite a lot but ended up rating it low because I hate that it ended the way it does. I'll read the manga eventually.
I enjoyed the movie a lot, I thought it had a nice set of characters - I just wanted there to be more development at the beginning and at the ended. I struggled to understand why it got such a bad rating on MAL.
Oops, I haven't really been on MAL as much lately.... and I'm brain dead from school.
About ep 10:
Juuzo's leg is still intact :o more signs of this being an anime original ending (and no :re)? Personally I felt that it was a pretty good ep though. Yoshimura san ;-; It hurt so good </3 I wonder what role Touka will play (please don't replace Hide even though I like you). Ahh I'm kinda scared of what's going to happen and I wonder if Yoshimura is perma dead. They've also been doing decently I guess, given the little episodes they have. Looking forward to the black screen next ep :D
Ch 20:
NOOO Someone stop Ishida He's Satan ahhh Please be safe Mucchan ;-; If Kanae kills Mutsuki then how would Kaneki feel towards Tsukiyama if he were to remember?
AND OMG Takizawa ;-; WTF NO NO NO When they said they wanted to make another Kaneki they really meant it more literally than I thought. So Amon may have escaped but Takizawa wasn't able to?
I don't know what to think right now but so many things could happen.
About ep 6, drunk Akira is best Akira c: That's about all I gotta say. Though, yeah, Kaneki has barely spoken since the anime took an alternate route. Maybe later he'll get some more lines?
As for ch 17:
- Uta seemed like he wanted to change the bidding price on Mutsuki so I think the clowns do know that Mucchan is different.
- I think Ishida designed the mask for the anime (like he did with Nishiki's mask in the anime as well, which was later seen in :re)
- Uta looks very... fabulous... Ye, the clowns really aren't hiding the fact that they are clowns :o I still wanna punch Roma >.>
- I'm not really sure about Hinami. She cared for the people close to her and didn't want to lose them, but I don't think it was shown that she particularly cared too much for humans in general? My memory's starting to get kinda fuzzy about some parts in S1 ^^;; But she basically had everything taken away from her again and again by humans (her father, her mother, Anteiku, Kaneki, her place to belong, etc).
- I think you mean Torso/Saeki (if I remembered his name right)? But he probably will go after Mutsuki in the middle of all the hullabaloo and still go after Mutsuki if the escape is successful. I'm really worried for Mucchan (please be safe) This could also become a parallel of when Kaneki was at the ghoul restaurant in S1.

I hope those answers suffice.
Sounds great :3 looking forward to all of 'em!
I'm not familiar with the first one, I don't think. Have you read the Deadman Wonderland manga?
What are your next two reviews going to be?
