Well, i know what you feel when watching bakemonogatari. The first time i watched it i didnt really enjoyed and ended up dropped it. But, that was a big mistake. When i watching it again i am realize this was "unique" and ended up loving it. lol. maybe you need to watch it until finished to realizing this anime.

anyway, bakemonogatari was not-everyone anime because of the art. So, maybe there was someone who likes it like your friend does and there was some people who doesnt like it.

Yep, it was fair enough for Bakemonogatari to have such score.

I disagree with you on Bakemonogatari immensely, but I see where you're coming from. It's not for everyone and will alienate those who are not particularly appreciative of that style.
