Honestly, it’s a cursed combo. I watched it as a teen, but I didn’t actually rate it until a few years later. I did give it a 10 like a decade ago, though. Half my ratings are just me squinting at my own memory like, yeah, that seems right. Then I read your message and went oh no, checked some of my old scores, laughed, changed a few, and then got lazy and stopped. I don't know about mature and smart, I just like it because it was different, and yes, Yandere.

From the looks of it, you might be a Fate/stay fan, so I’m guessing you can probably figure out the correct order of my favorite routes in the VN based on that.

Lol, I’m just now seeing your message. You don’t have to worry too much — the older me is looking back at the younger me and questioning those scores, too. Some of the stuff I watched so long ago that I barely remember what it was even about, so at least it gives me an excuse to rewatch some of them.

I put it on hold because there are no platforms to watch it legally lol, at least in my country, the other options have terrible quality that makes it barely watchable.

The baseline that Shy presents is different than what My Hero presented, but despite this Shy ended up being more consistent than My Hero to me. This didn't happen over time but upon further examination of My Hero. The potential My Hero seemed to have in its beginning stages is impressive and let many people (myself included) to believe that whatever criticisms it had could be outweighed by the stakes and potential in aspects like the quirks, hero life and conflicts gently being introduced to be expanded upon after the main cast graduated. But to me what Shy seems to understand moreso than My Hero is to build upon more grounded/realistic expectations rather than what has ended up being shown in My Hero. Without going into the uncomfortable depths of how My Hero handles its female cast or how various characters could/should realistically have died... I simply forget much more of what happens in My Hero compared to Shy, since the narrative structure and understated progression style of Shy to me is better handled than the swinging pace and action found in My Hero. To me I continue to enjoy experiencing Shy in comparison to the highs and lows that I remember from My Hero. :]

Makoto Shinkai Movies don't interest me very much tbh, so I haven't seen Garden of Words. Or do you mean the Garden of Sinners movies? I love those but they are for people that just enjoy the weird, artsy, interpretation heavy things in media. In that department they're fantastic.

I like Dandadan so far, don't adore it, but at its best I think it's wonderful. Its weirdness and insanity adds to the quality for me and so does the breakneck pacing. I like it as a stylistic choice, but it really doesn't slow down so if you don't like that maybe it will continue to bother you.

For Ghost in the Shell if you watched the first two movies and the first two seasons of Stand Alone Complex you've honestly seen the best. The rest reaches from boring to pretty good. I did like the first Arise Movie because of how layered it was, but the second one was so action focused that I don't want to watch more. So really it's only "worth it" if you flat out want more Ghost in the Shell, even at a lesser quality.

Code Geass is a little odd like that where it's mostly amazing with some not so fitting fluff between the fantastic scenes every now and then. It's great despite those parts, not because of them really. But still, yes, I would very much say it's worth putting it high priority. It really excels in every department of storytelling and has one of the best written protagonists of all time.

Thank you for accepting my friend request. Secondly, Black Clover was the first anime I watched, so I have a connection to it.
I loved the Demon Slayer arc and the Train movie; it's an 8/10, but I have a special connection to it because I watched the Arabic dub and became attached to the dub and the movie.
Naruto Part 1 is great, but I haven't watched its filler episodes. My problem with Shippuden is that the animation malfunctions during important events. I didn't like some of the storylines in Shippuden. These are my reasons.
I finished the first few arcs of Bleach, but I paused because I'm studying. I'll finish it when I'm on vacation because I want to watch it while I'm excited and immersed in it.

if you didn't like it you don't like it, 10 chapters are enough, but i would recommend going directly to the manga, that way you can go at your pase and not a pace the anime choose for you. Now if you didn't like the characters personalities that's no gonna change

RGU really is something special, so I definitely think it’s worth pushing through even if the initial episodes don’t exactly hook you in. If you’re someone that enjoys stories with lots of symbolism to dig your teeth into and messaging that critiques larger issues within society then I would definitely say that RGU is something for you to watch. That being said, RGU is also 39 episodes, so, personally, I’d recommend trying to stick it out for some of the Black Rose Arc (I believe that starts episode 13? 14? around there) and then determining whether it’s worth continuing. That’s about where things start to get more mysterious and heavier, AKA, when we as the audience start becoming aware of what’s actually transpiring in the story (can you tell it’s my favourite arc lol).
Anyways, I hope you give it another go at some point! It’s definitely worth it. RGU’s comparison to being the shojo equivalent of NGE is not undeserved!

It's interesting to think about, I'm expecting something awkward but somehow enough - the real father/son story I'm waiting for is Usopp and Yasopp. o_o
Well, that's unfortunately shounen for ya - a LOT of focus on the male experience and glory despite promising female characters to build stories around. On the other hand, even if female mangaka are writing both male and female characters well it's difficult to truly write about the lived experience of which you don't have in any context, which is why every great writer needs someone with them / a team around them to bounce ideas around with but at this point it's too risky with the scale that One Piece has become and how Oda sometimes feels like he needs to defy expectation :/

Nami might be my favorite post time-skip but Zoro definitely was top 1 pre time-skip for me.
True, not only because Luffy's devil fruit changed from paramecia (rubber) to zoan (with Looney toons powers) but also because now Luffy with his grand fleet and other powerful allies will definitely fight against the tenryūbito and take them down in the near future but it really isn't his goal to topple the government.
The one actively working towards breaking the government is Dragon with siege tactics that will force the tenryūbito to miss their luxuries and force action from the 5 elders...but yeah, Dragon acting now is less that desirable, even if we now will likely see his involvement in God Valley as of right now.
Instead of Oda throwing hints towards Dragon's actions like delegation, strategy and/or speeches to the revolutionaries and common folk alike I just haven't seen enough that I could've ben a fan or supported the direction of the leadership Dragon the so called "Supreme Commander"...
And about Luffy and Dragon being captured...perhaps, but that wouldn't feel earned since Dragon is not really a part of Luffy's life, even if Dragon said "A pirate? That's good too".
It’s time to ditch the text file.
