Yeah, it's definitely an interesting watch.
Exactly, and I really apreciate that's it not as simple as in most cases where the main question is "are you still human" but it's way more complex, and is involved in a broader context that shows you how other conditions will determine your life and whether a person will get the implants or not. I also like the idea of the thought whether we as a species need this sort of evolution at all or is it just caused by our greed/need of overcoming boundaries.
Well it's definitely an interesting movie in which transhumanism is more related to themes like gender and family, but I'd definitely recommend it.
Well, I can definitely can agree with you on that one. If I were to pinpoint the point of contention then it would be hard to talk just about one single thing since this anime covers a plethora od different topics, but the one that piqued my interest the most was propably the theme of human evolution and transhumanism. Recently I became quite fond of this topic due to movies like Crash (1996), Space Oddysey 2001 or Titane (2021) and I believe that this show handles this topic really well, while putting in in a broader context.
