Greetings Immediate, I am the Head Admin of a Seasonal Club called the Anime Guild.
I saw your introduction thread. Mainly it was just mentioned Discord. Most clubs do have a Discord so joining clubs might in your interests. Personally our Discord has a pretty active Sports Channel. So that could be a bonus in joining ours =).

Yess.. it seems there is one for almost every main sport I believe.

OOoo well then I guess we can add that to my list over 100 so I've watched two lol. I don't know how I feel about it either.

Well recently I have finished Tokyo revengers i believe I think it is over. I have also finished cestvs, 86 eighty-six, backflip, and burning kabaddi. I've started free! I'm currently on season 3 and I just finished given as I'm typing this.

What have you been you watching?

Lol literally after reading that FMAB was one of the anime you rewatched the first joke that came to mind was that one scene from Spongebob when Squidward was pretending to hate Krabby Patties but actually liked them. I actually haven't rewatched FMAB yet even though I have it on blu ray because I wanna forget as much as possible to try watching it without remembering the story. Makes sense, I do remember most of the outcomes too but not exactly the stuff that happened during the fights. Has it started feeling repetitive at the point of the story you're in? No spoilers plz lol. I understand that, I kinda feel the same way whenever I spend an exaggerated amount of time binge watching/reading/playing. The first time I played Persona 5 by the end of the story I was too invested and wanted to know how the story ended as soon as possible and it was summer break so I spent a few days literally only playing taking short breaks and when I finished the game after like a few days straight of only doing that and finally went to sleep I literally thought "what have I done?" lol (processed to do the same again with the rest of the Persona games anyway). I was looking for a spoiler free summary and this is the best I could find that explains what Alice in Borderland is about: "An aimless gamer and his two friends find themselves in a parallel Tokyo, where they're forced to compete in a series of sadistic games to survive". I watched the live action adaptation on Netflix first because the trailer looked interesting and then went to read the manga immediately. The adaptation was actually really good even though it changed many things, I recommend the manga first and then the live action if you feel like it. It's gonna get a season 2 so I'm looking forward to it lol. Reading the comparisons made my English get mixed up because I realized I've seen both version but guess I just automatically recognize it and don't think about how the spelling is different. I kinda feel like what I wanted to say didn't make sense, or did it? lol

Yeah its definitely cheating so I'm glad they got caught. And it looks like fans aren't gonna let it go any time soon because the team gets destroyed by the crowd all the time now. I never played the ones for PS2, just the ones for the Xbox 360 lol. I wasn't a fan during the time the PS2 games were coming out but I guess some of the retired old wrestlers I like that you might know are The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Randy Orton (still around, but I think you might know him). I started watching after 2009 so I'm not too attached to the older wrestlers from that time lol. That would have been interesting lol. I wasn't familiar with that so was just reading up on that, doesn't it hurt when skating?

Lol you're playing them out of order then? The games kinda don't seem to follow a storyline like the old games so I guess it doesn't matter much. Had to convert it to USD to check lol, almost 60 dollars which is the price for a new game over here. I'm surprised it's still that expensive. I seriously hope you like Black Flag, it was one of favorites. I played Origins during a time when I didn't have wifi for half a year and in the end I'm still salty about not unlocking achievements for it even though I finished it lol. Have you played the older AC games? Well I don't mind long games, as long as the story is good lol. The Persona games can be 150+ hours so I really don't mind that. But the more recent AC just don't feel the same for me. I had heard about Persona before but didn't get into it until Joker got added to Smash. And currently I don't plan on buying the PS5 or Xbox series x, still fine with my old consoles. Spiderman was great, mainly got the ps4 for that game lol. Really wanna play the Miles Morales one but it seems it can only be bought digitally on ps4. Yeah Steins;Gate was originally a visual novel before it was an anime. And then a few years ago they released Steins;Gate Elite which is the same visual novel but with the animation changed to match the anime instead. I haven't finished it yet because it's super long/confusing plus only has the Japanese dub but yeah it was going pretty good lol. It's from Okabe's point of view so it's interesting seeing what he was thinking during certain moments and stuff. You should definitely try playing Detroit Become Human, I loved it. I actually kinda cheated because I had a guide, I would just look at it during moments were characters could die (not a spoiler because the game warns you right at the beginning to be careful because characters can actually die permanently). I hated quick time events because I would get super stressed about accidentally missing and the character dying thanks to that lol. Almost done, 9 more movies left. Yeah I started Loki and I'm loving it. Not sure if I like it more than Wandavision, gonna have to wait and see. But definitely liking it more than The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I just always liked Loki so yeah kinda automatically like it more lol. I actually don't mind watching dub or sub but I mainly go for English dubs unless the story gets changed. There's some anime I mainly only watch dub without exception tho lol. Lol if you ever do end up rewatching it let me know, also realized you didn't have the OVA episode or the movie on your list, did you know about those two? The OVA is actually like an episode 25 that takes place after the main anime. And then the movie takes place after that. I'm actually rewatching Steins;Gate 0 right now with the blu rays, watching it English dub this time around has made me like it even more than when I watched it the first time honestly. If you don't remember Spirited Away much then you have a good excuse for rewatching it lol. I actually used to do Studio Ghibli marathons a few years back. Most of them are safe to watch with your family if you wanna get them to watch anime, just ask me before if you wanna be completely sure.

Alright send the comparison whenever you can then. Yeah the art is really detailed, I kinda feel bad that when I'm reading I mainly focus on the text lol. People post random pages all the time because of the art and that's when I started to pay attention to it. Yeah it was awkward, I was kinda worried about that happening some day after reading the warning lol. Died inside when I realized she had seen.
JMV1997 Jun 14, 2021 12:57 AM
Have you ever rewatched it? I usually rewatch shorter anime (the ones that are 12 to 24/26 episodes long) so this is gonna be my first time rewatching a longer anime. Have also discovered things I hadn't noticed when watching the first time, especially Neon Genesis Evangelion and Steins;Gate. Lol well it was a good fight, guess the characters probably doesn't get mentioned again if you can't remember him. But he did say he was retiring after his match so that makes sense. I wouldn't mind if the story went for that long honestly lol. You mean regretting spending a lot of time watching anime? I've also been wanting to read/watch more but don't have enough of time to actually do it. Last time I had a lot of free time was around January so I binge read an entire manga, it was called "Alice in Borderland". Read all the chapters in just 3 days. It was worth it lol. Yeah I've noticed that a lot on the newer manga that's been coming out. That's probably a good decision for hajime no ippo, it must be annoying being caught up during a fight and having to wait an entire week for what happens next lol. At least it's going well then, good luck memorizing the rest lol. I've noticed the pronunciation is different between the two too, more used to to the American one tho. And I haven't really noticed if other have had the same problems with those letters too.

Did you end up watching the videos? Those days were literally my favorites back when I was in school. Things would get competitive lol. The last few years before I graduated they switched it up a bit tho, instead of playing against the class mates from the same grade they would make us go against another grade. I mean both classes got united against the 2 classes from the other grade. So all of 11th grade against all of 12th grade for example. I actually haven't played a wrestling game since the one from 2014 on xbox 360 lol. Favorite wrestler would be hard to pick, I have a lot of different ones I like from different shows. Having to stay up until that late and then having to go to school/work the next day must be horrible. True I forgot to mention the two of them because I think of them mainly as only wrestlers. I checked just now because I was pretty sure I knew about him but not his name lol, had seen some videos about him before. That fight literally just ended super quickly out of nowhere. I still laugh about my brother missing it just because he left the room for a few seconds lol. You personally knew some of the people who have competed? Or just mean not familiar with anyone? Here the team is usually really small so it's easy to keep track of who's competing when. And yeah it was great to see, everyone kept talking about it for months. Yeah I still remember most of it honestly, not the kata tho. Those were like routines that we had to learn and do during exams/tournaments. Wish you would have had more time then lol, it's really fun. Some times I wonder what could have been had I continued in archery, but not interested in going back. it's been almost 7 years I think. Was just doing it for fun too, if I had kept going would probably have had to buy a lot of equipment. I just used the ones the teacher had lol. He did sell me some used equipment that I still have. Do they still hurt nowadays when you try running?

Lol I noticed you literally finished the whole thing already, guess it must have been good. And if you don't mind a bit of spoilers I'd say watch the movie after season 1. That how I watched it. Here is what one of the reviews says about watching it after season 1 or waiting: "Major the Ball of Friendship tells the story of the events that occur between season one and season two however, it takes place after Major S4 at the beginning and end although the majority of the movie is the flashback. That being said if you watch it after season 1 there are some minor spoilers that are shown about Goro's advancement in his baseball career but nothing major that ruins the series so it's your call on whether you want to watch it after S1 or S4." So yeah if its something you don't mind I say watch it after season 1 lol, if the spoilers might bother you then wait until after.

I haven't played that AC game yet, last one I completely played was Origins. Played the beginning of Odyssey but stopped, should give it another chance eventually. I used to be obsessed with Assassin's Creed many years ago lol, haven't liked them much since Black Flag tho. Of the newer ones the one I liked the most was the one with the twins. Plan on fixing it eventually or just getting the PS5 eventually? And the main games I play on my ps4 are Persona games lol. Don't have many games honestly, I have Persona 5, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5 Strikers, Spider-Man, The Last of Us and Steins;Gate Elite. Also used the free trial of PS Now and played Detroit Become Human, really good game. What movie are you currently on? I recommend watching the new Marvel series on Disney+ too after you're done with the movies. Have you seem them by yourself yet? You prefer the Japanese voices? Guess I'm just too used to the English ones lol. Lol the story of steins;gate is pretty slow until around episode 12/13 so maybe that's why you got bored. Think you could ever give it a second chance? I like them better separated, since it's a really long story so it's better as a separate anime. Also the tone is super different, a lot more serious/depressing than the original. Princess Mononoke is probably my favorite from Studio Ghibli, and did you like Spirited Away?

Was looking closely at the volumes of dbz again after what you said and yeah you're right lol, wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it tho. I wanna get the Deluxe eventually too, but idk when. They're actually selling them right now at a book store near my home but my brother likes going through my collection whenever he visits and imagine if he just random opens it up lol. And did you noticed the Spice and Wolf manga on my collection It actually has a lot of nudity and a warning at the front page, and this one time I found one of the books out of place meaning someone (probably mom) opened it and I died lol. She never brought it up tho. Which one did you like more, the anime or the manga? (deadman wonderland). I hope of 100% completing the manga that I have too eventually, some day lol.

Yeah I have a discord account, made it to add people who I play Switch with because Nintendo doesn't let you message friends to invite to play and stuff lol. I'll send you a friend request after I'm done with this message then, my name on there is Joy (originally it was JMV but since my nickname on Switch is Joy I changed it lol)
JMV1997 Jun 11, 2021 12:33 AM
You know what? All this talking about Ippo ended up making me read an entire arc/fight last night and after that I was listening to the openings again. Kept thinking about buying it or not and in the end I went for it, so yeah I bought it lol. I haven't rewatched since the first time in 2016, so it'll be fun watching from the beginning again. Btw don't know if you remember it since you're way ahead on the manga but the last few chapters I read was Ippo vs Take. 1989 so so 32 years now, and apparently in an interview a few years back the author said something like he's only halfway done right? There's just too many good anime coming out and not enough time to watch it all lol, back in 2013/2014 when I started getting into anime I could binge watch entire series in a single day. Not anymore tho.
Well it's a romcom, started out a bit messed up because the girl would bully the main guy in the beginning. Eventually she stops and instead it turns into teasing. The anime toned it down compared to how it was at the beginning of the manga. It actually gets really good and there's actually progress in the story. It's one of the manga I look forward to reading lol, new chapters come out every 2 weeks. How many are you familiar with so far? No problem, just let me know whenever you need help. Honestly I find it normal to switch between the two so it doesn't confuse me, when typing text messages to friends I also mix both. Usually have problem with worlds that have l, r and w. Literally the word "world" is one of the worst ones for me to try pronouncing lol.

Since I'm not too into baseball I went on wikipedia and found an article to the whole thing lol, here it is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston_Astros_sign_stealing_scandal and here's a good video explaining what happened https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScQr7R4ptT8 Lol that would be me in a irl baseball game. No lol, it happened playing basketball (the elbow to the face). In school on field days girls had to play kickball tho, which is kinda like baseball. I hated it too lol, didn't know when I was supposed to run. There was actually a girl who did know a lot about sports who was in charge of letting us know what to do and when to do it lol. After we were done the boys had to play baseball. Thing is my school was divided class M and N, so field days were basically class M vs N and then one with most wins at the end is the winner. I actually decided to watch wrestling after playing a wrestling game my brother got lol, but my family has always watched wrestling for as long as I can remember so I was kinda familiar with it before the game. So since you played the games are you familiar with the real wrestlers and stuff or just the old games? Right I always check the live threat when watching wrestling ppvs (that start at the same time as ppvs for boxing/ufc) and I've seen fans from the UK saying it's like 1am for them. I'm not familiar with UFC fighters except really popular ones like Ronda Rousey and Connor McGregor. Literally tried thinking of other names but couldn't lol. I remember I watched a Ronda Rousey fight when visiting my brother. It was live and the fight was just starting, my brother left the room quickly to get a beer but she got knocked out so he missed the whole thing because it was over when he came back lol. My friend who I mentioned who was into UFC was a huge fan of hers and he kept talking about it all the time, then he just died inside when she lost on the first round lol. Looking forward to this year's olympics. On the last one Puerto Rico actually won a gold medal for the first time ever, it was tennis. Everyone on the island suddenly became tennis experts just to see that final game lol. I was a black belt, quit a few weeks/months after getting it. Still have the diploma hanging on the wall tho lol. Did you like archery? It was honestly really fun, only reason I stopped was because my aunt was the one who would take me there with my cousins and eventually they couldn't keep going so I stopped too. I did go to some competitions and even won a medal in one, but wasn't there when they announced it because since I was just doing it for fun I wasn't expecting to win anything lol. Next time I was there for classes the instructor randomly walked up to me and told me I had won a medal and gave it to me. That was a long time, did you get injured during a game then?

How's Mushishi so far? I've never seen it but been interested in it before. And hope you like Major lol, the movie I think takes place after the first season. But the thing is it takes place in the future and the movie is sorta a flashback of him remembering. It's kinda spoils things from future seasons. I watched it right after season 1 because I didn't mind. And if you want recommendations for romcoms and comedies just let me know then lol.

So what consoles do you mainly play? I have the PS4, Xbox One and Switch. But barely play the Xbox One anymore, mainly use the PS4 and Switch. Don't have membership on the Xbox One and PS4 tho, mainly play single player games lol. Do have online for Switch tho, because of Super Smash Bros. That's true it is faster, but I like having the games physically lol. I got kinda lost a bit, you mean doing a MCU marathon with her or watching Star Wars? By Super I mean Dragon Ball Super lol, that at first I watched the beginning while it was airing but eventually dropped it because I didn't like the Japanese voices. And so I'll some day watch it again dubbed. Liking the manga so far? I just really liked the characters/story for those 2 anime. Between the two I like Steins;Gate more. Have also seen the original FMA but didn't like it as much. The first opening for the original anime is really good tho. Alright I'm gonna spoil it a bit then lol. Remember how in the last episode Okabe is shown a video of his future self explaining to him how to save Kurisu? Well Steins;Gate 0 is about the Okabe from the future who didn't save Kurisu and about how he eventually comes up with the plan on how to save her. I really don't wanna accidentally spoil anything about the ending lol. I'll just say some people liked it, some people were ok with it and some hated it. You might have heard of them before without knowing they're studio ghibli movies. My favorites from them are Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky and Kiki's Delivery Service. They're most populars are probably Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro.

That's a really nice collection, you should be proud lol. Liked how the Dragon Ball volumes are all connected by the design, took me a sec to notice lol. Also noticed you have Berserk, do you plan on completing the collection or getting the Deluxe version? Also see Deadman Wonderland, I really liked that one more than the anime. Have re read it twice. Do you plan on eventually completing everything? Naruto and Bleach would also need a an entire bookshelf if that's the case lol.
Lexyh123 Jun 9, 2021 4:06 AM
Yeah, there this anime that is called "Days" it is a soccer anime. It was pretty good but it doesn't have a second season sadly. I found it when I was looking at anime that were similar to kuroko basketball I believe.

OOOooo yeah, it sounds fun. If I start with my favorite anime I would probably start with Hikayuu or black butler.

No, honestly I don't have any anime in mind that I can think of that is over 100 episodes. Wait, is Jojo over 100 episodes?

oooo yayy!! that's good. That reminds me I need to catch up on my recent anime that I've been watching.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
