Some news I didn't see is that we're getting another live action adaptation. I'm not sure what the crossover part entails exactly, sounds to me more like it's using the Nihon Toitsu name like part of an anthology series, rather than having the characters meet or whatever, but then I know nothing about the series beyond what's in the article. Already looks more interesting than the Amazon series at any rate, but can it reach the highs of the stage play?
Silver Case and 25th Ward are games I really want to replay soon. Like it's been a few years since I last played them but I still find myself constantly thinking about scenes from them. I've held off for a while to let some details get a bit more vague in my memory, but also because I was sorta holding out hope for a FSR remake, and translations for Twilight/Moonlight Syndrome. FSR would probably be a while since in an interview not too long ago Suda was basically "Oh yeah, I still want to do that eventually", but I could just go through the DS version again anyway. Just googling Twilight/Moonlight now they actually have translations being worked on fairly recently, but you know, not gonna get my hopes up until the finished thing is out or at like 80% anyway. Looking at screenshots of them all I might even be able to get through them at my JP level with a dictionary on tab, though I'd want to try that out with some other games I don't care about fully grasping first. But leaving all that aside I think I'm gonna give in and give SC and 2thW a replay sometime this year anyway, they're worth multiple replays.
Also on the translation front just last night I found out Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special had one drop last month. So that's one I gotta hop on soon.

Honolulu was a great location though, and was nice to explore an area that's a bit familiar to me, just seeing an ABC store in the demo made me smile. With that Sugiura cameo, here's hoping for Judgement Hawaii Five-0. Kiryu reminiscing was some good stuff (Dead Souls mentioned), wish there had been a bit more though. Like damn, some of the hardest hitting emotional moments. Speaking of, Hanawa getting killed after going through everything in Gaiden was a downer. RIP Morinaga again, at least it wasn't offscreen this time.
BTW, first Yakuza game I've gone into with actual mahjong knowledge.
Prologue was a nice addition to the game, and pretty meaty for its short runtime. Also more of an actual prequel than 0. Not just Yumi screentime, but Nishiki's sister too. Really makes you wonder why 0 didn't have that.
The movie was certainly an interesting choice with what they did. Like I get what they were going for with all those subplots, but that still begs the question of why they would do that and devote so much time to them over the actual game story. Still was some decent fun, and glad I checked it out. Gotta say those actors got the characters pretty spot on and it did feel true to the tone of the game. Seeing Kiryu just use a health item for the final fight was also unreasonably hype.
