I finished the first one and it's just as good. This one is great too so far, seems to give it a unique spin. I made a review if you want to see my in-depth thoughts.

I haven't seen KC myself, I loved U&T and want to read the manga as soon as the full scanlation is ready.

It's been a pleasure, Fujita is one of my favorite Mangaka already and I've only seen Karakuri no Kimi and both versions of Ushio and Tora, (and it's manga) I want to get to Karakuri Circus one day too.

And if you like that one you may also enjoy Ushio and Tora, also by the same Mangaka.

Although it's not a sequel, Karakuri no Kimi has a spiritual succesor called Karakuri Circus by the same Mangaka. It got a recent adaptation in 2018 that keeps that 90's vibe, but it cut a lot of content from the Manga, it also takes place in modern Japan instead and like the name implies, uses a Cirrque de Soleil style act instead of Ninjas but keeps the concept of puppets as heroes and is also pretty gory (Though the anime probably tones it down)
