Sounds rough about the cold! My late Grandma used to keep her bedroom really cold as well and slept under a mountain of blankets in the night. Can't say it was ever below freezing though. Things are indeed cooling down now. I missed the memo and didn't adjust my clothing, so I've already been sick with a cold twice in the last 4 weeks lol.

But I am glad the heatwave's over. It also rained about 2 weeks straight, so no more drought problems for a while.

Yeah, that's an ugly situation. I've only really been to a restaurant once this year. It actually looked fairly normal regarding staff and number of guests. But it was really expensive, so I suppose that was a place that tries to pay their staff more so that they would come back.

I can't do my actual job (other than MAL) from home, so things haven't really changed for me as it would mean either working or not working. But when it affects healthcare places, then that's really serious. Other than to a dentist, I haven't had to go see my doc this year, so I'm not sure how it is here.

I did almost die during the heatwaves we had in July and August though. I may actually have to invest in a proper AC unit. But on the other hand, with energy prices exploding and a war happening not too far away, things like that don't seem worth thinking about right now. What a fucking year it's been so far.
