My first non-Pokemon anime was Angel Beats followed quickly by Fullmetal Alchemist in the summer before my Sophomore year of high school in 2013. I’ve enjoyed seeing this industry grow in only a few years from this niche hobby I talked about in hushed whispers with a few friends to a global phenomenon. Even still, anime still reaches me on a personal level on occasion, so I think I’ll stick around.
