Hi Lost Scholar!
Thank you so much for your recommendations for Secret Santa, I'm really excited to check out all three! I've heard of ReLIFE and Black Lagoon before, but Gankutsuou is completely new to me! At a glance at the synopsis, it sounds a bit like The Case Study of Vanitas, which I really enjoyed. I'm also always interested in an anime with a unique animation style, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it! I started the first couple of episodes of ReLIFE and I like it! Like you said, I appreciate the perspective of someone post-high school looking back at those years. At this point in my life it's a tad bit more relatable than teenage protagonists haha. The characters all seem interesting so far, too! Great pick!
