No problem! I always pay attention to reviews about things I love, especially when they are so heartfeltly written. If you enjoyed Yamada's directing style, I'm sure you'll enjoy K-ON. It transforms what was supposed to be just a series about "cute girls drinking tea and eating cake" in something really sensible, full of subtle details and even emotional. The first season didn't grab my attention during the first episodes, but it really starts to show its potential during the last episodes. The second season is where we see K-ON's full potential, it's absolutely incredible.
Loved your review of Koe no Katachi! You've done a great job in expressing how you feel about this film, which is similar to how I do. If you haven't, I recommend checking out other works directed by Naoko Yamada. While they may not deal with themes as serious as Koe no Katachi, they're all sensible and relatable works. If you haven't watched K-ON but knows about it, you may be thinking "even K-ON is like that?" and I tell you "yes, even K-ON". Yamada's directing is so delicate, humane and full of subtleties that it's impossible to not fell in love with her style. Her works are very inspiring to me.
