I can't build chromium with 2 gb ram. That's why I use ubuntu deb packages. I used to get abi errors before but they're working now.
You just copy libffmpeg.so and voila it works.
I wish there was a way to make folders immutable. I mean I can use chattr +i but emerge can't work if I do that.
I was installing chromium and it was really stressful. One missing asterisk or backslash and your installation is gone.
This is really cruel there should be a failsafe method to do this.
No need to create profiles just emerge apparmor-profiles. you need to change a few kernel options too.
Don't forget to add apparmor=1 security=apparmor boot parameters and enable the service then you're good to go.
Nvm I just installed apulse and sound works.
Actually I mixed up the commands and played the binary with aplay. My ears!
they say it segfaults without pulseaudio. I'm not a programmer so I don't know how to fix it. There must be a patch somewhere.
Palemoon-bin is an option too.
I'm sure it's possible to get sound without pulseaudio. Just like systemd-free gnome.
I'll just install aplay then. Seamonkey can't even open pdfs without pdf.js extension this one should be builtin.
