I rate based on my own enjoyment as well as how well I thought it was executed based on genre, source material if I know it and how well it accomplishes certain goals.
I typically prefer supernatural shonen action, but I'll watch any genre. Harem and ecchi are typically not something I enjoy, but there have been some exceptions (Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon/The World God Only Knows/Prison School to name a few). PLEASE recommend me some good samurai anime, I have a few on my plan to watch but I want more because they're so interesting to me!
First Anime: (not including obvious things like pokemon/digimon/etc.) Blue Exorcist
First Manga: Blue Exorcist
First Videogame Completed: Danganronpa
How I discovered anime/manga: It was 2012 and not long after my tenth birthday. I was a pokemon/yu-gi-oh!/digimon obsessed little girl in Barnes and Noble so when I saw the rotating rack of all Blue Exorcist manga I was in awe. I knew I had to get it when I saw volume eight, where a happy boy was riding the back of a cute cat. Of course, I begged my mother to get it and immediately went home to read but was shocked to see it was backwards. Volume eight was nearing the end of the battle with the impure king (takes place in season 2 of the anime which hadn't even been announced yet). I was so confused but I couldn't stop looking at it. I must have read it at least five times within that first few days. From there, I looked it up online and found the anime and have been caught up in it ever since.
I also draw and write my own comics of varying genre.

That was so much fun; I legit hope you and Z are still hanging out and get back to it sometime, and your other friends. You had great chemistry with them all, and honestly, you being there probably kept that way more wholesome than it would've been otherwise! Haha! You really held your own well with all the guys!

And... honestly, just thanks. I've been so down lately and watching those really cheered me up. Made me feel like it was my own friend group! A lot of you really reminded me of a lot of my own friends throughout the years, and it was really a nice mood lifter. I really needed that.

It's so cool you even have this! Legit, I've never actually KNOWN or gotten the opportunity to actually TALK to anyone who uploads content like this. Me and most of my YT friends just did AMVs or the like, never got ourselves out there (voice or otherwise).
Okay, so do youtube AND you even draw and write your comic too?? How's that coming along? Most artists I know (like, personally) never even usually write their own stuff, they mostly just do commissions and the like! Wow! I hope you'll share that! I'm not the artistic type, but I would be the writer not the artist too, haha. Being able to do BOTH is super impressive!

(By the way, I laughed that Prison School and other such things were an exception to ecchi. Haha. Ecchi is pretty fun when it's more than just masturbatory fodder, right? It can be used to great comedic effect or even seriousness!)
So, you seem really hungry for samurai anime... maybe I can help! I checked and you haven't seen it, so this should be viable! Do you like Kurosawa, by chance? Because there was a pretty neat adaptation/reimagining of his classic Seven Samurai more than a few years back.
Check out Samurai 7. If you don't mind a strange steam-fiction (best term I can think of to describe it) blended in with your samurai stories, this might be fun!
Best of all, if you're a fan of the original film, you will like how much it honors the spirit, story, and characters of it and if you've never heard of the original film (it's from the early 50s and is in black and white), it'll make you want to watch it! It did for me anyway!

By the way, I generally really like a lot of your tastes and ratings. Based that you gave Cowboy Bebop a 7 too, haha. Seriously, people have yelled at me for not OMG 10/10ing it as usual. Sorry, it's solid, but overrated as fuck.
But man, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Digimon and the like... all takes me back!
(By the way, at least with YGO, it was the one of these old school stuff I looked into more deeply and do not regret reading the original manga! If you've ever only seen the animes, you should check that out too! I definitely appreciated the twisted take on "games" vs just being an anime glorifying the card game, AGAIN and AGAIN, etc).
Have you played the newest Digimon game, by chance? *If* I ever get a PS5, I think that'll be on the list. I do have a couple on Switch I haven't gotten to.
Pokemon... uh... man, I loved the anime as a kid (I grew out of it) but man, I loved those games until like gen 6. Kinda sad what happened to it, honestly.
