My favorite Anime of all time would be Digimon Adventure because of it's characters and themes about growing up and confronting your problems. Be it divorced parents, puberty and what friendship requires from you.

My favorite Manga would be Kenichi, Strongest Desciple in History. Not many characters are like Shirahama Kenichi. A coward that's forced to train till he confronts his own hardships himself, and grows up little by little.

But Slayers and One Piece are pretty good too in both mediums.

I've read more manga, but I don't remember all of them, so I quit that list aside from what I'm currently reading.
