Honestly, what you're describing, is exactly what happened to me.
I got an account on MyAnimeList here because I thought it was a cool concept to keep track of all the anime I have watched ect. Next thing I know, I'm part of the staff to one of my clubs, haha, crazy almost XD.
The Anime Simulcast club really made me enjoy talking to people on here, so I really hope you find it does the same to you. The people there are all nice and we're glad you decided to join!
I would love it if we could talk more and become friends :)
