I think a lot of the anime community does not view anime critically. You don't have to agree with me on my scores but if you want to know why I gave an anime a certain score, I'll tell you.

Most anime is I consider bad is because of poorly written stories. Some examples include Steins;Gate, Psycho-Pass, Higurashi, and Welcome to the NHK. Contrariwise, great anime have excellent stories.

The broad appeal of anime has been both the animation and the infinite potential of stories. I just wish popular anime weren't so contrived, convoluted, paradoxical, and incompetent.
