Yeah it's a very nice place, i love going there. I've actually been inside the castle before and it's awesome in there as well! There's a dungeon, a fancy library, old weapons (literally every single old weapon you can think of) and a big fancy garden. I have social anxiety honestly and being at big events with lots of people and noise isn't really my thing a lot of the time. These ren fair's look like fun tho so maybe i'll muster up the courage one day. They do do this walk in that town around halloween that is supposed to showcase a lot of the more spooky aspects of it's history which sounds interesting.

and that's good to hear that there's so much to look forward to. i read the first few pages when i got my hands on the first vol, and it already felt way beyond what the anime staff envisioned. i think the original content an anime is adapting can always shine through in some ways, even if the staff don't seem to understand/care as much. so i'm glad i gave it another chance.

yeah i kinda don't doubt it. because i initially even dropped the anime, and when i watched it a couple of years ago finally, you could very easily tell the script had some empty spots in regards to character moments/motivations. sadly, adaptations often skip those in favor of plot stuff, but like in this case, richard and seigi's relationship is so complex that it basically ended up with some scenes not really making sense lol but yes! i did still enjoy it a lot in the end. the glimpses of the potential are enough.

and yeah so much to read, watch, play....talking to you about it would actually be a great motivation to prioritize it though. i'll ping you when i start!

Sounds great! I actually live near an old castle and medieval town and i'm pretty sure they do renaissance fair's there as well, maybe i'll go one day if i can build up the courage. I saw a video of somebody going to one a while back and i love the sort of things they sell there, like the stuff you mentioned.

Oh nice. I've heard of renaissance fair's before but i've never been to one myself. Being able to dress up in medieval gear for the day sounds like a lot of fun ngl, it seems like the perfect place for a nerd~
