I hope you'll enjoy Ping Pong more than I did. Maybe you'll find something I didn't.

Ping Pong's art style is overrated. I'd hardly call it original or different. It has very few interesting ideas. It's just a realist style with a rough, sketchy look.

The story and characters are much better. The main character is a hilarious joke. He's a depressed who somehow beats everyone in Ping Pong. Aside from that little piece of shit the side-characters are well-developed, the story is well-paced and the animated ping pong scenes are expressive and beautiful. It's worth a watch, but don't expect to be mind-blown. I find the controversial Future Diary far weirder and more original.
