Hi, I started watching anime in summer 2018, which was Death Note. Following that I became a really big fan of the big 3 and degenerate romance/girls love stuff. But I soon realised that actually not the “woke“ people were cringe, but the degenerate ones are. So I‘m still adjusting some ratings of shows to my current standards(following this, I have also deleted all hentai from my list and stopped watching any and all porn). Today I try to view anime way more critical than in the past, which gives you more appreciation for some shows actually… I might still watch some degenerate shows which are on my watchlist from the past, but through a critical lens.
Regardless my favourite genres are still arthouse-ish anime(psychological, suspense, historical), good romance, fantasy(not isekai) and retro-future sci-fi(like ghost in the shell, bebop, etc.).
