Its not like there isn't already written the important stuff.
I'm (eternally) 29 years (and some 800 days) old and from germany.
I've been watching Anime since childhood and don't intend to stop.
And yes, I need to update all of this here at some point. Will never happen though.

The worst archievement of all time. I don't want to complete it.
10: Only the absolute best of anime. Only the elite few will make it here.
9: Most of those belong to Top 100 Anime. They are definitely great to watch, but have one or two flaws. Absolutely recommended.
8: Also recommendable anime, which are absolutely fun to watch.
They do have flaws just as the 9's, but they're missing a bit more.
7: Most of the anime I liked end up here. There are some flaws, but they are fun to watch on a personnel level. I'd watch them again, definitely, but recommending them to others is a question of taste.
6: Still okay, but it starts getting tiresome. They were fun while I did watch them, but I wouldn't watch them a second time. Probably.
5: The abolute average. Whether they exist or not, nobody would remember them either ways.
4: The anime start to have serious flaws, and more than that, are a pain to watch.
3: At this point its more fun to point out their mistakes, rather than following the plot. Its like 'find the mistake'.
2: I start to laugh at the badness of those anime.
1: Haven't even seen one so far, but only the absolute worst of anime are able to archieve THIS.
I rate anime by the same criteria, which are shown in the review division. Story, Art, Sound, Characters and Enjoyment. The Total is 20 % of each. But what does that mean for me?
Of course, the score is subjective, but I try to keep it as objective as possible.
Characters: 1 + Initial Character Design(0-3) + Relationship(0-3) + Growth(0-3)
Enjoyment: 1 + 'Did I like the previous Episodes'(0-3) + 'How much do I want to watch the next one'(0-3) + 'Do I want to rewatch it'(0-3)
How to... navigate through my list
Basically you just have to hit Ctrl+F for the searching function.
Now type in i.e. 'Story 8' if you want to see, which anime had a good story.
Its not that hard. lol
Why do I write so many negative Reviews
Because those anime suck? No, just kidding. The reason I write more negative reviews is because of my Top 100 Challange. And everytime I see something bad in that list I just wonder why people like it so much. After reading most of the reviews I still don't feel like I could understand their thoughts, so I write one myself. It's not like I want to hate anime or earn somebodys wrath. I'm 100% serious with those after all. But people tend to consider it trolling, because it's not their (or the communitiy's) opinion. Well, to be honest, my first reviews were also rather badly written. Which is why I want to redo them some day. And well, since my criteria changed, the scores will change, too. Even if just slightly.
i respect it, i tried to objectively review in the way you do but ended up giving up.its really quite hard to not opinionate reviews while writing them and i think the system you use is pretty good at stopping that for the most part. i end up just reviewing based on opinion because i just find it to be the more fun way of reviewing.
i think the main reason i like bebop(the show not the genre) is because i grew up with star wars and therefore became a bit of a scifi buff, in recent years i haven't especially been that into scifi but the show reawakened that sense of joy for the genre i used to possess. a bit like what you said with favorites, i can tell by no means that bebop is an amazing show, it feels very generalized as if to cater to a wider audience this is one of my least liked things about the show ; the sense of nostalgia i end up feeling for the episodicness and the art being similar to lupin the III (the only anime i watched as a kid) overwhelms these dislikes and i end up enjoying it quite alot (maybe im just a sucker for scifi). i sincerely hope that in the future ill be able to write reviews as well explained as yours are, happy new year!
i shitpost alot it doesn't make for very legible posts, im just a jazz lover and no im talking about cowboy bebops soundtrack ive really liked its ost for a while (before i started the show) mostly because im a big bebop fan (the music genre not the show).i just had another look at your list and i agree with quite a most ratings other than ppta and a select few pretty based opinions, sorry for the hate my guy i can see you get enough (i know i shouldnt do a 180 like this for consistencys sake but tbh i dont really care about it). btw, why is Yagate Kimi ni Naru in favorites but only rated a 9?
oh yeah and you have bad taste or whatever im sure you know by now though lmao i do partialy agree with you on cowboy bebop but i cant let that comment about its ost survive ILL RIP YOU TO SHREDS WITH A PAIR OF BRUSHES AND A SAX REED YOU GODDAMN FINK BONEHEAD YARAGAGAGAGAGAGA
VVVVVVVVVVVVV (response) @Mr__Tea why didnt they build some kind of rope climbing device, i mean idk if this is a copypasta but surely somebody would've built a device right?
I just want to ask one thing because i'm curious how did anime that you dropped got higher scores than those that you finished? If it was that bad that you had to drop it how is it better than those that you finished?
Thanks for the response, I totally agree, OPM and Mob Psycho are on completely different levels when it comes to the quality of animation, but I would still say that the rough styling of Ping Pong isn't a product of a worse production or indicative of cheaper visuals. This is a creative choice, not born out of a misunderstanding of art or a lack of funding. A good example might be the show's opening, which frames this whole thing pretty well in its first twenty seconds. They are rough, nothing clean about them, but they are still smooth and detailed.
Hey there, I understand how Ping-Pong The Animation is a bit out there when it comes to its style, so I perfectly understand why you might not find it aesthetically pleasing, but I would be a bit more careful with stuff like drawing lines between animation quality and character designs. Firstly, these character designs aren't simplistic in the slightest, they often have more detail than most anime, secondly a rough sketch style also isn't necessarily a sign for a lower quality of animation, in fact, using rough lines to exaggerate motion is most commonly a skill people have to learn. I think what might make this all a bit more understandable would be another example, so let's look at One Punch Man and Mob Psycho, both shows with rather crude and simplistic character designs for their protagonist, still, their animation is anything but cheap. Sorry if you changed your mind on this stuff, I know I'm just a tiny bit late to the party, just some ten odd years, but who knows, maybe you haven't changed your mind on this (though honestly I doubt it). Have a good one ^^
I mean as long one of two works out fine i guess thats good? I mean that just says you are far more enjoying rewatching. I for example havent touched a show for almost half an year, only Gaming ahh.
I mean now its going really well for me, had few surgerys on thei vein last year and now i feel like a new born Bonfire!
