I have seen the xxxHolic live action, and it’s actually really good. The set design is very well put together and does a great job of capturing the same vibe as the anime. Unfortunately, like a lot of anime live adaptations, the acting can feel a little stiff just a little bit, and they changed a few parts of the story to fit the 1hour film. It was directed by the legendary Mika Ninagawa and her signature style fits xxxHolic perfectly, especially if you’ve seen Sakuran and Helter Skelter.
