I'm Robin how do you do? :3 Here lies my little excuse for an anime list. It's not exactly what I'd like it to be, but I'm working on it!
My anime obsession has never been much of a secret. The medium has captured my fascination for over two decades. My goal is to balance watching more "classic anime" (anything pre-2000s, although its hard to think of stuff from the 90s as classic!) with what's current. My tastes range from ordinary slice-of-life romantic comedies to full-blown fantastical adventures. I have the same kind of eclectic taste outside of anime, too. My favorite things tend to be opposites. It's likely that my two favorite characters in a series will be the bouncy loud-mouth and the brooding loner.
I haven't watched as much anime as I would like to say. I've seen fragments of many different series throughout the years, but only finished a rather small handful of them. The series that occupy my attention tend to be LONG. Pokémon & Digimon were the first ones, with a heavy side helping of Cardcaptors. Then came Yu Yu Hakusho which was eventually succeeded by FMA. I can't think of a time in the last decade that I wasn't obsessed with at least one of those shows! The only short anime to really catch my attention are Fruits Basket (26
episodes) and Air TV (just 13 episodes). I want to cut back a bit on the longer series to focus on more short ones. I would love to find some hidden gems that are only 13 episodes!
I tend to be a bit lenient with my ratings. I can't imagine watching something that I'd have to rate less than a 5. XD I can usually find something I like about any given series. Likewise, I can ignore some amount of filler if there are some aspects that I find compelling. I don't expect the most critical eye when you look at my ratings. I may go back to reevaluate them someday. In the rare case I come across an anime that's not my cup of tea, I will probably stop watching and forget about it entirely...
Thanks for reading this! <3 I hope I didn't bore you TOO much. Hopefully, this has shed some light on the anime watcher who owns this page.
