There goes another year of no progress towards my Japan prospects... I did start reading another VN in Japanese, does that count? ┴┬┴┤(o_├┬┴┬┴
I really have to start next year at the latest. It's either I take actual Japanese learning classes or get an online course, but whichever way, it has to be by next year. I'll make it my 2026 goal haha

Honestly, I am seriously considering going to one of the other SEA countries by next year, and Thailand definitely is one of my top choices. My sister has been there and she said it was one of the relatively cheaper travels she had while still being a great experience~

For some breaking news, I actually just uninstalled HSR earlier this week (shocking). I haven't really been doing the story since 3.0, and more often than not, when I stop playing the story for a gacha I'm playing, I kinda lost motivation to play further. It's funny that you're asking about ZZZ, since I've been playing it since launch (and my last reply was before launch haha), and I'm also debating quitting it soon, but I'm still playing it for now. Just got Dialyn too.
Did you end up playing ZZZ? I think I've seen your status in Discord showing that you are from time to time
Probably the biggest factor to all this is that I'm making Umamusu EN my main game and a Cygames gacha is pretty much a 2nd job

Talking about HSR accessories, I've been wanting to buy the Moondrop Robin earphones for a while now, but I wanted the JP version which are still really expensive to import even these days...
I didn't even know Genshin collabed with Sony hahaha, I only remember the Klee earphones from sometime ago, and that was with Xiaomi iirc.

I ended up getting a Switch 2, but so far I've mostly played my Switch 1 backlog on it. Still waiting for actual Switch 2 games that aren't developed with Switch 1 in mind, like how the PS5 was held back in its early years by making everything playable on PS4 too.
I heard getting a Switch 2 was by lottery in Japan, is it still like that even now? Because I got mine quite easily haha

I still only have that one figure, since this year was spent buying games on Steam that I won't get to play in 2-5 years >__>

I read a manga called 顔に出ない柏田さんと顔に出る太田君 most of the way through, other than that I like to check out new manga without many chapters, ones that haven't been translated yet. for VNs I read through an eroge called ナマイキデレーション as well as several short eroge (like less than 10 hours long)... I'm gonna read through other マドソフト eroge and also da capo series which dropped its localization =w=

the thing about those gacha games though is, they know they will at least get the day 1 whales before they dip out xD plus it's such a cookie-cutter formula it probably doesn't require much planning. I would love to see idk, a low-budget onimai platformer where mahiro escapes from mihari trying to experiment on him or some dumb shite >_> and then some people will be like wow this game is cool, maybe I'll check out the source material, and then the anime becomes a cult phenomenon...

am I the only one who feels like jp entertainment franchises aren't that 'big' anymore? like not popularity big, but literally quantity of products. a manga will be adapted to an anime, and it kinda ends there. no spin-off manga or anime, no branching out into video games... I mean real games, gacha doesn't count xD idk if it's because everything is so big-budget these days that they aren't willing to make random side stuff? (there are exceptions of course)

the hardest thing was not the japanese but rather my own focus... in the listening section you're pretty much screwed if you zone out when they happen to say the answer, and the grammar section had long paragraphs which I struggled with since my eyes aren't good at focusing on words... (I have this problem with english text too, so)

I've been doing fine lately, just busy with the IRL grind of looking for work, taking care of my health and still doing way too much hobbies at once, hahaha~x'D Thankfully things should calm down next week when I get back into anime as having a schedule makes it easier for me to manage my time. And yeah, emphasis on lately because the start of the year wasn't too great imho.. Lost two close relations and personally wise things weren't particularly great either..^^'3
