Hey hey, long time no hear :) I hope you are doing good.
Well Gintama is special, very good but slow aswell. Ive started the show in the beginning fo 2020. Soon it will be 4 years and I still havnt finished it. But I think its nothing to rush. You have to enjoy every episode and sometimes you just need to take a break.
While I have been curious why the fanbase is so big I do kinda understand now. The show gives you the chills. The serious arcs are damn good. Amazing animation, beautiful and deep dialogues and loveable characters. The fighing scenes are strong. Its very enjoyable.
Then there are some episodes you really feel bored. Not even fillers but just not your kind if humour.
A very strong aspect of the series is the world building. I wouldnt believe you in before if you had told me there's a strong and big world building like ... well One Piece (though its ofc not as good as in One Piece). But its freaking smart. From the beginning to the point I am right now it feels like a real and lively world. Things are happening and changing and it stays like that.
So I love the show so far. I know about some point of no return when the show loses its comedy. I cant wait for it but I am kinda scared since I love the humour aswell. I want to finish the first season (200 episodes is quiet a bit for a show like this) since it feels like easier to continoue with shorter seasons.
How did you like it? Its been a while since you have finished it right?
Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song was alright, right? Strong start, not the best end, but still decent. Had alot of fun with it and it reminded me at Nier Automata.
Watched 86 after it. Kinda enjoyed 86 more. Maybe you should give it a shot. :>
Naruto and Shippuuden is like Dragonball and Z. Definitely changed alot during Shippuuden. But not into a bad way. I have enjoyed Shippuuden way more. Well, didnt finish it yet because of the fillers. But all the new characters and power levels worked so great. I also enjoyed the past of Minato, Kakashi, Itachi and so on. Without fillers I would have already finished it years ago.
The thing I loved the most about Narut has been the tournament. Well and the last arc resurrecting Sasuke because of the epic 1 vs 1 tatical fights. Nothing better than that.
Started to watch the last few episodes of Dragon Ball Super and boy I love it. Getting back all of the old Dragon Ball vibes. And I loved the game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarott; going to play it again after finishing the show, just waiting for the last DLC.
Yeah, I had some great holiday; just had to start at thursday again. And there we go, already enjoying the weekend :D
Rurouni Kenshin is definitly an Anime I am planning to watch since a longer time. Probably giving it a try during 2021.
But as you have recognized, I have started to rewatch Naruto from the very beginning.
The reason is because I have dropped Shippuuden cause of fillers. Know that the show has finished motivated me to start from the very first episode again.
That was during summer. While I enjoyed my holidays the last couple of days, Ive started to continue watching Naruto, realizing its kinda addictive.
At first I was sceptical about Naruto, cause it felt like a show for kids. But during the arc of Tsunade (Hokage), I started to enjoy it again.
But my big goal is to finish Shippuuden this year. Im quiet curious about it. And I am pretty motivated to reach the pain arc again. My most favorite one so far.
Have you finished Shippuuden? Your thoughts?
Im doing great - healthy and still got my job. The same for my family.
Yeah right, you are not too much into depressing anime. Well at least it seems like a depressing anime and it kinda is.
But inside the depressing story you can find alot of important and positive messages. It kinda gave me some motivation
to see things in life in a different way and im still getting influenced by the show in my everyday.
"I want to Eat you Pancreas" is a movie I want to see by now! Thanks for your hint.
Hey, how are you doing?
Just finished "Your lie in April" last sunday... oh boy I cant get my feelings right.
Feeling depressed since I have seen the last episode.
And it kinda changed my life in a special way. Im thinking about many things in a different way by now.
GTO is one of the best anime! Give it some time, you will start to love all of the characters.
Its freaking funny but doesnt forget its soul and manages to find the perfect balance between
humour and serious moments.
I loved to watch the show, though as far as I know the Anime has got an original ending.
But it fits.
Its... pretty... decent?! But at the same time kinda special.
Difficult to describe but im kinda hyped for the things which are going to happen. That hype gives the the motivation to keep on watching.
In the beginning the series kinda felt ... not boring but I couldnt find a plot. Well... theres still no plot, but the world building is pretty amazing and the jokes start to become better and better.
The reason why I am still very motivated is that I have heard alot of good things about the upcoming serious arcs. And after the first serious arc the jokes should get better according to a fan based site => https://sotaku.com/gintama-complete-skippable-episode-guide/
To be honest... its the perfect show after a stressful day to relax, to hear some anti-jokes and to watch some pretty nice characters during their daily routine. From episode to episode you will start to feel more and more connected to the cast. You will see a living world cause of the great world building. You will start to like the jokes. And the more serious parts I see the more curious I get.
Till now Gintama is just an average show to me. But I can see the potential it has. And I havent seen alot of comedy anime yet, so it kinda feels new. About 10 more episodes to watch and Ill reach the first serious arc. Going to tell you if I liked it if you want.
Shinsekai yori... I have once started the Anime, needed to take a longer break after a couple of episodes (I think I have stopped at about episode 7). It was kinda strange and I couldnt get too deep into the story nor the characters.
On the other side I have heard from several sides (friends, forums etc.) that this Anime with its story gets close to a masterpiece.
You have rated with with a 7.
Now I am curious: what do you think about the Anime and why did you give "just" a 7?
Wow, you have started to watch Anime again :) are you alright? Have you managed to overcome your burn out? Glad to see you back!
Holy cow, The promised neverland endet in such a fantastic way, what do you think? I loved the last few episodes alot.
Ouran Koukou Host Club is such a beautiful show. Finished it years ago and started to rewatch it while I had to Internet and felt kinda sick... got it on DVD!
That doesnt sound good - I am sorry! I do hope you will recover from your burn out soon and that you will find joy and energy in all the things you like to do again. Take care of yourself, its nothing to underestimate.
