Hello. I keep starting anime but I never finish because I can't find an addicting one and all the addicting ones aren't on youtube, it's a pain to watch them on my laptop -.-
Your Angel Beats review was....................SPOT ON!! From characters to plot! Great job :D Welcome to the lonely but satisfying path of a person who can't see what all the fuss is about surrounding AB xD
If you have some free time, check out my Angel Beats review and I hope you see the similarities and give me an opinion :)
Please don't review animes if you have only watched 2 episodes or so.
I'm not defending SAO at all, but it really is fucking stupid if one of the main things you point on are how popular it is, disgusting.
Your Angel Beats! review really hit on the spot. This anime was indeed over-hyped. Most people think it's good maybe due to the sadness, and the romance bit in the end. But indeed, plot-wise, this anime is not going to be a masterpiece. There should be at least more stories about the characters that were never even explored too much yet. I always wondered how T.K ended up passed away, but the anime never shown about him. I enjoyed a little bit too, but not much. 7/10 from me. The OVA episode was just as bad.
Yeah, angel beats was mediocre in terms of plot and action...
The creators failed to find a good middle ground in the whole School Life-Drama/Supernatural stuff and the anime has the wild tendency to shift between the students performing wild and somewhat volatile missions to moments where you just want to see the character achieve their goals from their past life to just seeing who can make the biggest ass of themselves.
The comedy was a big hit-or-miss; some moments were funny, while some were just off... And, of course, the romance was obviously a cheap attempt to grasp your heart strings and pull them at the very last of the show's moments.
To be fair, however, it was somewhat enjoyable, like a guilty pleasure of sorts, and at least it isn't so much as a cult thing like Hellsing or Evangelion.
The SAO anime is giving the SAO a really bad name. To tell you frankly, the anime really is bullcrap, but if you've read the light novel, i'm sure that you'll see that the characters are actually "characters" and that the transition between the anime and the LN is just really horrible. I hope that the anime doesn't make you hate the entire SAO franchise because it really is awesome, its just that the producers of the anime are probably just trying to ride the fame of the already famous LN.
Ha, more and more negative reviews of SAO. Nevertheless, nice review, I liked it. You've only seen 2 episodes, and as someone else said, it does not get better, except a little on episode 14.
>It's original, I guess, but it's not the most creative thing I've heard of, to be honest.
I suggest you to just read the synopsis for .hack//sign. / the first video game series. They did the same idea ten years ago. It was bad then, and it's bad now too. You're right about all your accusations on Sword Art Online though.
