My entirely subjective rating scale below

1-2:These shows have no redeeming qualities as far as i can tell, lack solid concepts or ideas with which to build a premise or fumble with various ideas. I recommend these to anyone that stopped reading this at the word subjective.(Fairy Tail,Guilty Crown,The Entei Movie)

3-4:Has a concept or premise which is either abandoned or badly executed. Recommended for anyone that shops at wholefood stores(Sword art online,Soul Eater,Psycho-Pass.)

5-6:Most anime sit about here. These are shows that do an alright job of just about everything without being either offensive or groundbreaking. Shows like these are typically niche related and USUALLY rely on preferences from the viewer to be extremely enjoyable. Drugs help too.(Log Horizon,5 cm per second,Yuru Yuri.)

7-8:Shows that excel in one or more area. Typically can be enjoyed on different levels and have a wide variety of merits with which to be praised. The Majority of entry level anime can be found here, these are more often than not the shows used to get people interested in anime in general. Recommended for anyone who has a general interest in visual media and wants to branch into anime.(Berserk, Akira, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure.)

9-10:I don't even know why you're still reading this, you haven't seen any of these shows. This is the big leagues chump, these are shows that excel greatly in several areas and tackle multiple ideas simultaneously without the use of gimmicks,and effectively uses introduced concepts. Recommended for anyone pursuing a PhD OR has the capability to type without the use of fucking emotes(Legend of the galactic heroes,FLCL,Boku no pico trilogy)
