I have been an on-and-off Otaku since 2008, where I was introduced to the medium by a random click on google that led me to a page about "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya." Sometimes I don't watch an anime for months on end due to a busy life with school, work, and friends but I always come back to it when news of a show piques my interest.
As a viewer, I value good characters that develop over the course of a show above all else.
