Oh fair enough, I agree anime has lost it's charm in this new generation, mainly cause of the younger new generations coming into anime and they have only seen one anime so they watch they know it all and can rate the anime low and follow the crowd, they don't actually see the gems of retro anime and they will enjoy the fast past solo levelling or any shounen that is new that gets thrown at them.

I mean for the vast majoirty of people they have only seen about 5 anime or maybe more, so they have a small scope of what anime really is. But to each their own is what I say.

The activities ran from the 15th IIRC to the 23rd. The two extra days at the end are time for moderators to grade your score based on the activities you completed, and for participants to turn in their final score card. If you didn't do any activities, you're fresh out of luck--at least until the next event. If you're badge hunting, the Secret Santa event is live i think for signups, but I don't think it has activities in the same way Bunkansai had/has.
k-0da Nov 24, 9:00 PM
The event is closed. Did you do any of the activities before November 23rd?
AllAlone8 Nov 24, 6:20 PM
For sure, older anime looks and is much better, they don't make it like they used to.
Ahand_San Nov 24, 4:46 PM
First you need to go on their event section. Then read all the stuff. You can see a sentence "Mal Bunkasai club" in blue colour. That the main section of events

Cool list, nice to see someone who watches lower-rated animes, and even the shorts, OVAs, etc.

well <_<' same happens on irc
i told you my strategy of finding irc.. my idea was always to get it directly from the uploader
but if the original subber/uploader is long dead.. these bots need maintenance ynow

there might be third party re-uploaders on irc specialized on old anime but i dont know how to find them
i only got into irc for very rare cases and quite late in its lifetime, so i was never too well versed in it, and in recent years the ones i used tend to be dead

the last thing i ever got from irc were some US BD rips for anime that have for some reason did not have JP BD rips, and not wanting to use the webrip.. but thats such a niche case i dont even
on the filp side, i remember i was surprised a few times about what's still seeded/actually exists on nyaa.. like anime that were previously only on private trackers or obscure ova fansubs..

other options include
a) just stream it bruh
b) go through the interview process on the private tracker bakabt
c) dredge the depths for an animebytes invitation
d) delve into the even more esoteric depths of anime nzb/usenet piracy

but you can tell me any esoteric anime titles you might be interested in and i can offer a diagnostic
romagia Nov 9, 12:20 PM
i guess step 0 is actually finding a working irc bot :V

generally you would go on anidb, look who subbed the specific anime, look up their irc which is inevitably dead, and get it from nyaa instead like a normal person
romagia Nov 8, 1:16 AM
irc site??? no such thing

generally speaking downloading from irc requires a client like mirc, that has nice cheeky xdcc
and then messaging a bot with the anime you want.. specifics for instructions and commands depend on a channel-by-channel and bot-by-bot basis
and the bot should not be dead which might be a problem in the big 25

Hi there
I read DB in my native language but you can read it here in English: https://mangadex.org/title/802c0d5e-e666-422f-b948-0028f580953d/darkside-blues

I have no idea. Somehow you will have to access private trackers who have old and obscure anime, like bakabt. They're usually invite only.
MoesianThracian Oct 10, 9:22 AM
The original website has been long defunct, it's all unauthorized mirrors now, as far as I know. They don't have the same libraries.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
Keep track of your anime easily by creating your own list.
