around the 20 episode mark i grew more and more tired because most of part 4 is kinda boring imo, BUT i was dedicated so i continued to watch till the end XD

i would say around 18-20 minutes, yes. It was part 4 of jojos bizzare adventure. I had heard so much good things about part 5 that made me excited for it so i wanted to finish part 4 as fast as possible.

IMO one can't truly understood piece of art if not consumed it as a whole, but is this anime really art, tho?

I'll transfer an edited version of reply - and hell, even bump it up to 2/10, why not
weebgrandpa Nov 29, 2025 4:37 PM
Well, I was thinking...

First, the subverting of a) transfer to other fantasy world of a game is so subtely presented (usually a magic one, literally isekai) and b) Cinderella stuff is so opaque it would fly over ME, and this is a symptom the MADHOUSE have a problem. If we acknowledge this situation, most of the issues become mid/ok.

Second, this work using a post-edit-turn in anime music video fan-art subgenre, basically, the logic of cuts (I am trained filmmaker, just trust me) is so AMV-ish... I couldn't make a test AMV from it. As nu metal was done with the blues back in the 90s, I would say. This is not cinematic animation anymore, and we had the problem with animation-is-not-film position starting with Deleuze. It cutting DO resembles the techniques used by von Trier and Gondri in 2003's "Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind", but get it totallly wrong, like, cutting manga strips with no idea how exactly the frames in 16:9 cinematic AR works.

Third, that
scene is really Hegelian in the worst way. I'm too old for that incel stuff you kids obcessed with nowadays, but it is literally an example of beach so basic it's became ridiculed by the authors themselves. Or I imagine things. But I could not think of other reason it is so sick in the POV. The worst parth? The game is just a poopy plot device, and to not spoil the curveball, Yamada's character is never deep enough. Is it really the level of Japanese youth's possibility to connect with the damn best alpha male in the area? I would not read manga thoroughly, but still, looks like it is a catastrophe of remediation. At least this anime is not original, thanks.

I did prefer the shojo, but if such a mollybloomification would continue, it will bring a cash no doubt (how many mmmm sincere young women are watching the anime nowadays? mil? mils?), but this would kill the art form - we already have half-arsed productions on netflix order - just compare BASTARD! 6 OVAs from the 90s and whopping two-seasons of censored boring slop in the remake.

I would advise you to finish all 13 episodes tho, there should be hope - and surely you would not understand my previous critique before that. I will not reread and fix stuff as I am tired and tired of this title already and I'd finished it like a month ago?

Been doing great. I've been getting back into the swing of work after my vacation. Just finished the Kaguya-sama series and what a joy it was to watch. The ending to "Ultra-Romantic" was amazingly well written given the impossible premise. How have you been? Been watching anything good?
toxicgreen777 Nov 18, 2025 5:20 PM
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks. I just got off vacation. Just had a good celebration with family.

Thanks.... looking forward to it

Yeah, S1 really had that special vibe,Season 2 just can’t replicate that, especially if you’ve already read the manga and know the beats.
Also, I checked out your profile and it was refreshing to see someone whose top 10 actually feels personal instead of the usual ‘pretend exquisite taste’ list. It’s rare to find someone that honest about what they genuinely enjoy.
I’d love to be friends if you’re open.....always great to talk anime or swap recommendations whenever something good comes along.

Thank you! I enjoyed the show, thought I should say so!

I actually didn't know that. I knew that Saiki's parents' voice actors had good chemistry with one another, but didn't know they were married in real life. That's really cool.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
