Hmm, thanks for sharing your ideas. I cannot say a couple of things about The Big O now. Because I've only watched 4 episodes of it. I need to watch more. But it's okay now. The starting was a bit slow and it felt like it could be more interesting but I wondered the plot and Dorothy's secret story. So, I'll inform you later about the show. I understand your prejudices about Evangelion. Utena always deserved being more popular. I was feeling that all the time. In my opinion, you can actually like Evangelion. After I finished Evangelion, I was searching for something similar to Evangelion. But I couldn't find what I wanted until I found Utena. I'm not supporting the girl Evangelion idea because Utena is more complex, theorical and episodic than Evangelion for me. But, Evangelion's world building, flexibility and some of its characters were really well processed. Some way, these are one of the reasons why Evangelion is special for people. I watched Fooly Cooly too but I didn't like it. As you said, it's overhyped. So, I clearly say that they weren't similar. Its score is high because of the Evangelion's and Gainax's overhyped. Consequencely, i think you will really like Evangelion if you try. It can be my fifth or sixth favourite anime show of all time.

Thx for accepting my request! Let me know what you think after you finish it then. Also, I saw you had given a 5 to the movie of Versailles no Bara. Don't much care about the movie. I'm one of the biggest Versailles no Bara's fans but regardless the movie was too disappointing for me cause i geniunely waited for it. But I assure you the original one was a masterpiece barely. (but still Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu is better i think) Its prelude was a little slow but you might get used to gradually. I don't like watching longer anime shows generally but this one was a real hidden gem in any way.

I love Utena soo much. I really appreciate your taste. I want to watch Mawaru Penguindrum soon. You should definetly try Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu.

Coming back after having just finished Utena. Absolute masterwork of fiction.
