Yeah the similarity is pretty understandable as One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e was apparently one of the first in it's genre and helped popularize said genre. It apparently was very important to the creation of Key, key being the game developers who made Clannad, Kanon and Air. These three games were later adapted into anime which are otherwise know was the 'Key Adaptation Holy Trinity'

I kinda forgot to mention this but make sure you watch the 2006 version of Kanon as it is both longer than and superior to its older counterpart. Plus the art style from the older version makes me wanted to rip my eyes out
