Hello!
I hate the idea of rating each season of an anime separately. For that reason, I tend to forget adding multiple seasons of the same anime to my list once I watched them :( If it is there, it means I have watched the entire series, and the score reflects the my thoughts on the work as a whole. I finish everything I start, and I generally avoid anime that are still airing due to the risk that they might go on forever..
As much as I don't want to include them, anime movies are also a part of this list. My intention was to use it exclusively for completed series rather than standalone films, but sadly MAL doesn’t offer a way to separate the two. I barely watch movies anyway, so it doesn't matter all that much. But I do wish we would be able to create a separate list for them >.<
My absolute favorite person on here is
ma1kawa11. They convey their criticism and appreciation in ways I try, but can't. For 110% do I agree with everything they do and say on here. Words cannot explain how much they mean to me. Their writing style, their opinions, their taste; ma1kawa11, you are the absolute best <3
About me: I am an art/film graduate who loves the 1990-2000 VHS era of anime. Dgmw there are plenty of great modern anime but they rarely have the magic these older works had, especially on a visual level. Even with bigger budgets and better tech, older anime just had more soul and charm. Below are some anime that really stuck with me and mean a lot to me for different reasons.
Feel free to add me as long as you leave a comment! 💗

The anime is very faithful to the manga. You should def read the manga, but you can start where the anime finished if you don't want to read from the start. Spy x Family is one of the series where I, personally, enjoy both the anime and manga equally.
When it came to what aired in Japan in the '80s they had tons upon tons of variety even back then, however over here in the US it was pretty slim pickings. Most were just sci-fi stories because they knew that's what would be big over here. 😯
Cool! I assumed you watched all of those anime on Cartoon Network back in the day? I remember them airing such shows like that on Toonami.
Some of the first anime I watched ever were called Superbook, Flying House and Grimm's Fairy Tale Adventures. They aired back in the '80s when I was a very young lad. Feels like it was just yesterday. 😭
And I remembered that I should add that to my anime list. Watched it a bunch of times over the years. I always forget to add YouTube videos to it because it's just so weird honestly.
